It's not just that though, the way they (fully aware) use fight club to serve as the basis of the plot, kind of as a way to do an alternate take on how fight club has influenced people of this generation, despite the fact that fight club already was kind of satirizing the kind of disillusioned people that end up in these sorts of organizations, everyone in Fsociety is either in it purely for selfish motivations or seemingly has mental issues (somewhat with the exception of the muslim girl)
The whole show kind of takes place in the bubble of Elliot's mind where most of what we're shown is heavily biased due to the fact that it's virtually Elliot's mind the show exists in. The show tries to reinforce the idea that E-corp ruthlessly subjected Elliot's dad and other people to cancer due to an error, and then the scene with Colby explains it wasn't that simple, they weren't doing it to be evil capitalists, just to save hundreds/thousands of jobs and people's livelihoods.
The show subverts a few of the ideas that Elliot introduces to the viewer this way.

I like how literally all of your examples of this filming technique are a shitty shot/reversed-shot scenes, which even the most brilliant director CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH WITH. I mean these tend to be the weakest shots from a cinematographical point of view IN ANY MOVIE, because the visuals aren't even telling a story in these moments. Again, this neutrality is just subtle enough to go unnoticed but because he is neutral, he isn't tied into the theme of being on the bad corp's side, and therefore we tend to default him to the side of being a non-participant in it all. For contrast, that CTO who burned the money, or the guy talking about conning people, or madame executioner are clearly "the bad guys" in the show.

If you want to tell me that Shot/Reverse-Shot is a shitty tired and boring practice that should be obliterate from film, then you are preaching the choir, my man, but this practice is pretty universally common in all visual media and it doesn't seem to be going away any time soon.
I would love for the cameras to be doing all kinds of weird shit, or focusing on objects that the characters hands are holding or the background of the environment or whatever, but to be honest, if the pimped out all their creativity with that, then they would run through their whole bag of tricks pretty quickly, and while film should still be a visual medium and try to excise any unneeded dialogue entirely, I struggle to think how they could have told all of Mr Robot as a silent film.

That may be so but you have to think of the voters who pay very small amounts of attention. They just get tidbits of information, and which information reaches them is key. Hillary could say "No emails were confidential"--a blatant lie that certain voters will recognize as false, while other groups will not because they don't pay close enough attention, so they she may make these comments simply to target those who don't pay close enough attention in order to garner their support come election time.
This show, viewed from the uninformed perspective, will have similar effects as her blatantly false lies that are taken as truth. This begs the question of WHY they were divorced and my speculation is as follows:
In the first episode of season ONE, Gideon out of no where tells Elliot that he's gay, and seems to be almost overly affectionate toward Elliot. He seems to have the mild hots for Elliot and a new boytoy EVEN THOUGH he's already married, and ironically the off-screen divorce that will probably be featured in a future episode left him so depressed he didn't even want any extra sex partners anymore.
