It's possible, but you generally need to pre-plan since you can't stream reliably in a torrent client unless you have about 20% of the movie or show downloaded already.
Personally I'm not a giant fan of streaming torrents as they download, but it's better quality than say netflix or hulu since you can stream whatever resolution you're downloading at.
