It's unsurprisingly pretty classic.

Probably one of the best (if not the best) movie I've seen so far this year. Overall it was more heartfelt and charming than I thought it was going to be. There was definitely some wackiness going on but it was usually bookended in feels.

I was kind of surprised at the amount of dialogue they gave Daniel Radcliffe's character. From the trailers I thought he was going to be some sort of zombie parroting an occasional word or two from Paul Dano.

I also appreciated the fact that they didn't take the easy way out and make everything a figment of Dano's imagination. The girl I saw it with was pissed that they didn't explain why Radcliffe's character could do all the things he could. Why does that matter? It's a fucking fantasy story and not everything needs explanation.

DUDE TURN YOUR BRAIN OFF LMAO
>>
It's fairly average, but the ending works well
>>
Good ending. Everything else was just a means of getting there. Pacing was atrocious, dialogue was repetitive, jokes were okay at best. The actors were good and the effects were nice but overall it was a disappointment

Before you enjoy any movie you have to suspend disbelief at least a little bit. If you don't then nothing will ever be realistic enough to satisfy you. So yeah, by watching a movie you're agreeing to be a part of their world however it is different from ours. How much or how little you are willing to let go bc of that is up to you but you do have to turn off your brain at least a little bit to enjoy any story and not just think about it as a whole production of people playing pretend.
