bullshit time travel movie.

It's the one that could be cut and replaced with a 5 minute short film explaining Lupin, Black and Pettigrew.
>>
>>72010409
time travel was done pretty nicely.

other movies can also be cut to a 5-10 minute short films.
>>
1. Half-Blood Prince
2. Hallows Pt 2
3. Sorcerer's Stone
4. Hallows Pt 1
5. Goblet of Fire
6. Chamber of Secrets
7. Order of the Phoenix
8. Prisoner of Azkaban
>>
harry potter was in hogwarts from 1987-1993 why didn't anyone have nirvana posters or boom boxes around? it's not like they were in medieval ages
>>
>>72010535
the books establish that electronic devices don't work at or near the school

also, the movies take place at a later timeframe.

1. Why wasnt Buckbeck saved the first time?
2. Who saved Harry and Hermione from Lupin if not Buckbeck?
>>
DH 1 is the worst. The whole Ron jealous/ camping part was horrendous. Ending was only good part.
Cried when dobby died desu
>>
>>72010447
sure, but it is most easily done with POA.

>No Voldemort attempt to return
>No Horcrux

just "le map shenanigans XD" and a whole pointless time travel section that opens up SO MANY loopholes in following books.

>We can't use the time turners to kill voldemort because its too dangerous.

>plus we're too busy letting 14 year old overachieving girls attend extra classes with them

The worldbuilding was good. That's about it though.

It's like JK didn't really know where she was going with the story when writing this one.
>>
>>72010535
>1987-1983

What? Stop talking shit
>>
>>72010660
There's also the that that none of her teachers question Hermionne having multiple classes at once
>>
>>72010599
he WAS saved the whole time.

the executioner ALWAYS chopped that pumpkin - harry and hermonie just didn't watch the first time

In the world of Harry Potter, all time travel that has will ever be done is reflected in the current reality. If the allies won WW2, they will have ALWAYS won WW2, because nobody will ever go back and change it.

until The Cursed Child where she literally fucks up every single thing that PoA establishes in the name of money
>>

teachers knew about her "special case".

But Harry, Ron and Hermione were on top of the hill staring down. Maybe they looked away, but they didn't notice that Buckbeck was gone?

Prisoner of Azkaban was good because we finally got some real LGBTQ representation. The later movies got cucked by the bury your gays trope, but the early days were nice and comfy.
>>
>>72010806
the kids hear a sound like an ax going THUNK, and Buckbeak's death is inferred, but not seen.

To use time turner you have to turn that shit few times. Imagine if you have turn it bajillion times, and then few more, and few more, and even few more, because it takes time to turn it.
Also
>magic, aint explainin shit m8

>we can't try to prevent the worst evil the wizard world has ever seen before it happens

>because we might accidentally go back to far

really? don't think it would be worth the "risk"?

Hermonie shows enough precision to turn back time exactly the right amount for an entire semester, but the greatest wizards in the world can't turn it back a few decades even ONCE?

or even TRY?
>>
>>72010879
it's the same way in the book, m8. they never see his body because he NEVER DIES.

It doesn't matter because Harry Potter was easily one of the dullest franchise in the history of movie franchises. Each episode following the boy wizard and his pals from Hogwarts Academy as they fight assorted villains has been indistinguishable from the others. Aside from the gloomy imagery, the seriesüf only consistency has been its lack of excitement and ineffective use of special effects, all to make magic unmagical, to make action seem inert.

Perhaps the die was cast when Rowling vetoed the idea of Spielberg directing the series; she made sure the series would never be mistaken for a work of art that meant anything to anybody?just ridiculously profitable cross-promotion for her books. The Harry Potter series might be anti-Christian (or not), but itüfs certainly the anti-James Bond series in its refusal of wonder, beauty and excitement. No one wants to face that fact. Now, thankfully, they no longer have to.

>a-at least the books are g-g-good though
"No!"
The writing is dreadful; the book was terrible. As I read, I noticed that every time a character went for a walk, the author wrote instead that the character "stretched his legs."

I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Rowling's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Harry Potter by the same Stephen King. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are reading Harry Potter at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to read Stephen King." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Harry Potter" you are, in fact, trained to read Stephen King

it was 1991-1997

In Chamber of Secrets, Harry goes to Nearly Headless Nick's 500th Deathday Party on Halloween, Nearly Headless Nick died in 1492, maybe that day October 31st 1992, that was Harry's second year, so he went to Hogwarts between September 1991 until the end of the sixth school year, his sixth school year was from September 1996 to Summer 1997.
>>
>>72012362
it was not love.

It was an "ancient powerful magic based on powerful feelings".
