Just watched Vincent and the Doctor. A few threads ago I asked if there were any pop music or references thereof in the Smith era, and Anon pointed out that episode. I didnt really recall it so I gave it a re-watch. I did catch the Doctor shoving Amy around a bit which I didn't remember either which was amusing anda bit hotdesu. Now we're watching that new MEW show (braindead) that /tv/ has been talking about between ghostbusters threads.

>>71969693
That's on my to do list too. For some reason I remember the second one to be better. That might just be because of the use of higher and higher/the statue of liberty scene. Which by the way is a hell of a lot better than the statue of liberty scene in The Angels Take Manhattan.
I don't know what to think about the third one aside from fear. I still haven't gotten over the Star trek reboot and it makes me REEE.
>>71969730
Happens to the best of us.
>>71963240
One or two people posting pictures ≠ /who/ is obsessed with a dead girl.
It would be creepy were they posting pictures of her corpse but they are not.
>>71969892
My father took me to see GB1 when I was 4. We left minutes into it. He said I got sick, but I probably shite myself from that librarian ghost.
Was just the right age for GB2 and still think it's a great experience. If it suffers from anything it would be that its' tone is generaly sillier.
I'll see the reboot eventualy, I'm sure, but I'm in no hurry.
Saw the first of the Star Trek reboots and forgot it immediately.
Angels Take Manhattan: I'm still bitter about Liberty. It's not that it's a bad idea, in fact I'm rather impressed. It's just that it was done so poorly.
>>71966886
It really isn't. Although at least the actress playing Kate Stewart isn't as devoid of personality and charisma as Jemma Redgrave.
>>71970131
>I'm still bitter about Liberty. It's not that it's a bad idea
How is it not a bad idea? It just seems stupid to me to make the Statue of Liberty a Weeping Angel because there is ALWAYS someone looking at it. And there would be even more people looking at it if it was stomping around the city. I mean how is it supposed to do that unseen? So I guess it could sort of work if NYC was totally evacuated, but even then it seems like it'd be easier to avoid than a regular Angel (given that it's trying to touch you while you're alive, so it wouldn't just #rekt the building you're in or something) so what's the point?
>>71970131
I'm in no hurry either, but curiosity will get the best of me eventually. I don't have the emotional and investment in time in Ghostbusters that I did in Star Trek. So if it is terrible it really wont effect me other than being a little annoyed.
>>71970383
That's silly! You're a silly person <3
>>71970383
I'm guessing that the fat one = Ray and John Boyega = Winston. The blonde dykey looking one kinda looks like cartoon Egon. I guess that leaves the librarian looking one as Peter.

>>71970897
You know how your left and your right eye are two differernt points of vision, right? Each its' own monocular viewpoint? But when you combine them, you get a whole new picture in 3D, like, a more acurate understanding of what you're looking at?
That's how I feel about Lady Liberty.
It's stupid and brilliant at the same time, and the reality is that it's neither. It's just this thing that happened and no matter how we feel about it, it'll still be there being just as dumb, or just as brilliant as it ever was.
So I'm going to let it lie.
So I've been gone for the past couple weeks, can someone fill me in? Last thing I remember someone suggested /who/ creates Foreman, but surely you can't have done that, right?
>>71971763
Sadly Foreman seems to have fallen by the wayside.

Death Comes to Time isn't bad.
The animation for the webcast is terrible, I'll grant you that, but it's something that was broadcast over the Internet in 2001. As an audio story, it works fine.

One of the Main Range anons here, recently finished 11. The Apocalypse Element.
It was a tad slow and I didn't really like the overall plot but I liked the idea of lots of races that time travel in different ways coming to the same place, and maybe trying to spy on the others. Also that one of the races didn't even understand how it worked.
Made better by the fact that qt best Romana returned. Not too sure how she got out of E-Space so could someone fill me in there? Basically anything between Warriors Gate and this.

All memery aside, it kinda is. The word "homosexual" was coined by people who considered it to be a disorder, so a lot of gay people tend to not like being called homosexual.
>>71976636
So what would you prefer me to call you? An arse bandit?
>>71976636
It's literally an objective scientific term. Who coined it is irrelevant.
Are you familiar with the terms 'homologous' and 'heterologous'? It's literally the exact same thing
Need I remind you "gay" used to be an insult until they embraced the term
>>71975552
She could play my trumpet. If you know what I mean.

>>71960869
I thought that was Ellen Degeneres from the thumbnail.
>>71976976
>Again, that's the exact same situation as the term "gay"
How? I'm not as positive on the origins of the word gay but I'm fairly sure its initial context wasn't to pathologise people or even to be negative at all. It literally meant "happy", and then I think gay people started using it for themselves and then after that straight people started using it in a derogatory way (because of its association with gay people). It's not a reclaimed slur because it wasn't a slur to begin with.
another gr8 thread
>>71977075
It was first used by straight people as a slur
>what's up with tom?

Different anon here. You don't need to listen to DCTT, the only returning element from that story is the Minister himself.
I agree that the series is harder to follow than your average Big Finish story, though. I think it's because there's barely any expository dialogue to describe the scene to the listener, so you have to pay closer attention to work out what's going on. It also has more characters (in BF, it's usually just Doctor + companion + half a dozen supporting actors at most).
But I liked it a lot after doing a relisten.

Just hit 17 gigs in the Faction Mega. I think all the mp3s aren't helping. But the end is nigh: I'm uploading the Charley audios now, and then I'll just have to finish the 8DAs / Dark Eyes / Doom Coalition and the Klein arc. Then I'll be done, unless I decide the Word Lord counts as Faction Paradox or some shit.

Not watching Dr Who anymore is THE fundamental principle of a true Whovian.
Just shipost.
>>71983337
I haven't watched it since the scottish guy took over.
I'm considering going into Counter-Measures. Anyone listened to them?
>>71983380
I only watched Rose and then dropped it
>>71983439
What's Rose?
I read a synopsis online and decided to not watch the show.
>>71983520
This headline was enough to convince me never to watch
>>71983241
Do you want the little preludes for This Town and City that were on the old Mad Norwegian website?
>>71983594
umm YES
is said old website on archive.is? I had no idea these existed, this is great
>>71983520
You are the chosen one. You have reached enlightenment level other whovians spend years trying to achieve.

Yeah, that's where I screenshotted from - could also copy and paste into some sort of PDF maker, though then you lose the nifty red background.
There's other stuff too, like a long Guide to the Eleven-Day Empire written by Mags Halliday

Pitch an episode for Series 10.
The catch: Do it in 8 words or fewer.
Did any of you see Legends of Tomorrow? It felt like a poor man's Doctor Who with superheroes.

Are we doing serious ideas we think are good or are we being retarded on purpose?
>>71983924
>African spirits rise from the ground.
>>71983924
Fenric learns Go
>>71984013
Either, but IMO any truly strong Doctor Who idea can be expressed in very few words.
e.g.
>The Doctor in a time looping puzzle castle.
>The Doctor seeks a monster representing fear itself.
>A mummy that kills you in 66 seconds.

Lola Rennt with time travel, starring Bill.
>>71981732
What did they say about it? Are they still trying to get it made?
>>71984087
Those are all terrible ideas, though.
>>71983924
Rory, Wilf, Jack and Doctor save the world.
>>71983924
Sutekh is back. With Omega.
>>71984165
He only dropped a few names.
>>71984087
>time looping
>>71983924
>Liquid aliens want to take over human bodies
Now this sounds like The Unquiet Dead, but this is actually inspired by a short sci-fi story I read as a child
>Space miners mined themselves some cybermen
>Machine that changes past to make you dead
