Just mad this picture, what are other actors that get lost in their characters?
>>71939167
made*
>>71939167
>no Tony Soprano/James Gandolfini
Fagola
>>71939167
>No Jared Leto?
>>71939183
What other remarkable characters does Gandolfini have? it seems that he was playing himself in the sopranos.
>>71939202
Yeah hes pretty good, i liked him in that gay movie with mathew.
>>71939290
LMAO XD LE 4CHAN MEYMEY
>>71939202
>>71939374
Add this guy who literally cut himself on set and then smeared his blood on the actress
Garry Oldman
Heat Ledgend
Ben Mehndehlsohn
>>71939429
>Heat Ledgend
Who? oh Heath Ledger.
Besides the joker did he do anything else memorable?
>Ben Mehndehlsohn
Meh.
>>71939403
I don't know, i always get the feel that he is still him playing the part, i think he is an amazing actor but i never forget that he is DiCaprio.
>>71939461
>mendehlson
>meh
>>71939298
You're a yuropoor aren't you?
>>71939167
I've always thought DDL's characters from There Will Be Blood and Gangs of NY are played by some other actor. I like him in the make-up way better than without it.
>>71939575
Gangs is kinda meh, almost every other part of him is sublime imo.
>>71939651
He is automatically disqualified by those horrendous hair pieces he wears.
>>71939167
Kirk Lazarus
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54_KvM1zvEQ
>>71939640
>Gangs of New York is meh
It's not the greatest movie of all time, but if you don't count that as one of DDL's greatest performances, I don't know what to say to you.
His performance carried the film so hard. He was incredible.
>>71939549
Mendehlson's shitty outside his native accent.
>>71939268
he didn't have many roles but Gandolfini sounded and acted nothing like Soprano. I think you may have some stereotypes about Italians desu.
>>71940784
so are 4 or 5 of these guys >>71939640
>>71940951
In True Romance he's virtually the same character so it's understandable that he acts that way.
Cranston has always acted the same way, and now that he's being cast in so much shit, everyone gets to see it.
>>71939167
Tilda Swinton
Vin Diesel
Clive Owen
Viggo Goddamn Mortenson
I'd wager most "famous" actors do this for 1 big movie, and then they never catch it again, but make movies for a few years and then fade off.
Some of the best have played the same part/role over and over, just different iterations, like a Ray Liotta type.
>>71939640
Change McConnie's one to Reign Of Fire
>>71939167
All of these characters are literally me
>>71940697
fucking GOAT
>>71939167
Heith Ledger as Joker.
It was probably the Joker who actually killed Heath Ledger. The character consumed his mind so much it killed him.
>>71939482
For me its his voice. Way too distinct for me to lose track of him in the role.
I have the same problem with Bryan Cranston whenever he's bald/wears glasses now. Drive? no problem. Trumbo? Literally season 1 Walter.
>>71941292
No, it was drugs, stop romanticizing shit.
>>71941119
OSCAR ISAAC! That nigger is great.
Oh also that faggot from Tron Legacy, On The Road, Troy, Death Sentence, Pan. Not always at his best but he has full on chameleon abilities.
>>71941826
Still no Arnold, what gives?
>>71942093
>OSCAR ISAAC! That nigger is great.
Decent on Ex Machina, nothing else.
>>71942488
>Arnold
Schwarzenegger?
>>71943031
Is there another?
>>71939167
>nicholas cage
no
>jake gyllenhall
tries hard but can't very well
>walter white
no
>>71939374
Gary Oldman
>>71939167
Bryan Cranston has no fucking range.
2 seasons of breaking bad he was stuck in Malcom Dad role. Season 3 he finally "breaks bad" by shaving his head and sometime talking with a scary voice. Every role he does now is the Breaking Bad voice, with the exception of Trumbo which was just plain terrible acting.
The guy is a decent director, but man he is an aweful actor.
>>71941826
Ryan Gosling
>>71944307
You are mentally challenged, go watch Hunger Games.
>>71944406
Its already here >>71941826
Are you even watching the thread.
You could argue Pacino and DeNiro. Though they're not as committed as they once were.
>>71944568
Also Brando.
Tom Hardy
>>71944659
good one
>>71941826
Heat Legend.
>>71939167
i fucking hate there will be blood and i hate that actor
his accent was fucking awful
he couldnt fulfill the physical requirements of the role and barely could scramble around when he was required to
he looked like an old man from the start
his acting was piss poor
he always acts the same way in everything he does too
>>71944659
this
>>71939167
That Bryan Cranston is fucking CGI
>>71941826
Tilda Swinton is perfect.
What about Woody Harrelson?
>>71944659
>>71941826
Good list, I agree with all of those and none of the others proposed ITT.
Tom Hardy in Peaky Blinders
Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro in Fear and Loathing
Joaquin Phoenix in the Master
>>71939167
this guy tbqh
>>71941826
Are you ever going to finish the picture? Shit is bugging me
Eva Green in Womb and Penny Dreadful.
>>71944307
>he doesn't get Nicolas Cage
Is there a worse kind of pleb?
>>71944568
>Al Pacino's dunkaccino scene
>not committed
Also I think this discussion is mostly about modern actors, becuase first of all I don't think the average /tv/ pleb watches movies from before the 80s. Rod Setiger would another good choice anyway.
>>71945043
>always acts the same way
If you had seen any of his movies besides TWBB you would know this is absolutely not true.
>>71949293
>replying to obvious bait
