Wow, how powerful is this film going to be? I can see it sweeping the Oscars with an incredible performance by Ruth Negga.
It makes me SICK that black people were, and still are, treated like this. Who else is going to weep when they see this real life travesty presented on the big screen?

I care way more about the invasion of foreign actors taking roles away from our Americans than SJW/BLM films. At least those films are taking advantage and making money off of the movements.

six months ago i would've been irritated that Jeff Nichols was wasting his time on this kitschy crap, but after the disaster that was Midnight Special, i don't care too much what he does
I love Jeff Nichols but word out of Cannes was that this is the worst kind of boring, monotonous 'prestige' historical biopic.

This. Nichols is a great director and Negga is a qt too. That said it does seem like Jeff got impatient for an Oscar.
