He's right though, 80s and 90s style of bureaucratic office management was not how humans should be. It's why that kind of corporate culture is rapidly fading and you dont see high rises stuffed to the brim with cubicles and miserable office workers that much any longer.
I heard a story about it on NPR
>>71904730
What dreamworld do you live in when corporate cubicle culture is on the decline? In my experience it's only getting worse, relentlessly so, with absolute no sign of slowing down or stopping.

>Every "office" style job is moving away from forced cubicle monkeying because the vast majority of such work can be done remotely.
Just because the job can be done remotely doesn't mean these companies are awarding that to their employees, or that it's even more efficient to outsource them. The trend has actually been moving back towards having employees come to the office so they can't have any distractions and are more productive while on the clock.

These guys. I can fully relate to the ecstatic feeling of the consultants when Peter just pours out dozens of points that we can include in our consulting report. One good interview can be enough to earn our whole €50-200K fee. No more work needed.
On the other hand, if we don't find anything to report, we have to scrape for a lot of weak bullshit hear and there to earn our outrageous fee. And that takes time.
Scary how well Mike Judge (the director/writer) knows this shit

>>71911405
Thought so. Those are jobs I'd 100% would never shit on people for taking, because they'll break you if you don't act smart.
White color jobs come with their faults; back pain is pretty fucking bad, especially when you're in a place where all you do is exacerbate it, and you sound like an old pussy if you complain, despite it virtually affecting everyone.

Let "customers" produce everything. They'll make video and written content, they'll make free advertising, they'll willfully provide demographic data that can be sold to analysts. Soon employees and customers will be the same people, and the corporations just provide a nice little online interface.

He wouldn't complain as much if the two Bobs were not coming to fire his friends.
And part of why he acted the way he did in the movie is because he was still under hypnosis

I had to turn off the show for a little while after AJ's suicide attempt, things got too real

Manual labour doesn't kill your body, Anon. I haven't been to a gym in a decade and I have the body of a swimmer through work alone. I also never exercise outside of work and can run almost indefinitely without getting out of breath. Physical jobs are brilliant for your health, especially if you eat right and don't smoke or drink excessively. It's essentially being paid to exercise.
