One of my favourite films, the last quarter of the movie was a bit silly but the rest is goat. Im pretty sure that this movie influenced Lynch heavily, specially in the way he handles the characters

Looks at her face, it's no wonder she got possessed.

Her daughter is superior.

...and in the end, it became clear that I had became a Andrzej Żuławski's Posession ©

Possession: A bad soap opera masquerading as a body horror with some shots of a creature now and then. Some of the worst acting imaginable and an ending that is so nonsensical a film student could have written it and I would have not blinked.
Why did this movie get so popular among beta males in the last 5-6 years?
Possession: Unwatchable performances (entirely the director's fault). Amateur-ish script. Scenes go on entirely too long with no sense of natural instinct for pacing. One of the most overrated movies of all time. The creature was cool the two or three times they showed it. Also one of the worst, most nonsensical student film endings I've seen.

this is amazingly cringe inducing
So deep, such powerful acting, look at her contort in such a natural way, she's totally giving it her all, you can tell by how she looks. It looks so real.
This is REAL horror! It's like, the unknown is what scares us. When you begin to lose control and can do nothing but suffer, THAT is what's really scary man! Zulawski is like a gifted genius for realizing this! Isabelle Adjani is so brilliant too! Look at her crazy eyes! You can tell she's giving a good performance

Sorry, got confused with Olivia Hussey.
Maaaaan you just don't get it. It's not real horror, it's like, we are all trying to maintain control, but when control is lost, like, it's really SCARY. Possession is not a horror in the traditional sense, but a subversive psychological drama, with sociopolitical allusions and personal parallels to the director's troubled existence. In a way, we are all struggling for control. Look at how she struggles in this scene. THIS is real terror, and it's not like the BOO jumpscares that you sheeple beg for in your movies, but this is the kind of terror that stays with you for MONTHS! Raw, existential dread.

I'm happy that some rando ragging on Possession was effective enough to generate copypasta.
Possession fucking rules and anything to bring more attention to it is good.
It's about divorce, which is why it's in divided Berlin.
Bitch gives birth to a creature that she then fucks. It's an allegory for some uninteresting bullshit.
Then it becomes the husband, they fight, real guy dies, he goes to rape the child, and world war 3 begins.
Somehow, this makes sense.
It doesn't.

This is the sort of crap you need to resort to when your film isn't good enough to stand on its own feet.
I have no respect for your kind and I hope you grow up one day.

Shame the Director passed away recently.
Seriously, why did this movie get so popular in the last few year? It's been around since 1981
>>71872132
Because of that webm

Shame? This fucking idiot could have been cured but chose to die a romantic death due to cancer.
He was a piece of shit and Sophie Marceau was right to cuck him all the time.
>>71872132
Because I mentioned it a lot around here in the past few years.
It's interesting enough to generate attention, but it's really shit at heart, unlike Lynch's work.
Lost Highway is far superior to this crap. Lost Highway is the most underrated movie of all time. No bullshit mystery with LH.
