This film needed to be a trilogy. It also should have had action figures and a video game.
It's a fun movie for sure, went to see it on release day with my family in Oklahoma.. I remember news articles and excitement all around because it's Oklahoma and there's nothing else going on (apart from that whole OKC bombing)
One of the premiere locations was even in Oklahoma and the proceeds went to tornado victims so that was pretty nice.
Oh, and Independence Day. Another stupid movie that I can't help but enjoy.

Armageddon. Saw it in theatres when I was 12. It is still today one of my top 3 theatre experiences for some reason. I would in comp sci and normally I will hate movies that are of the sci-fi genre and are scientifically off.

i remember that and 'get shorty' were probably the first ever dvd's that my parents ever bought in 97 or 98 and the cases were basically digipacks with that latch/snap binding on the right side that was how you opened them. i think i watched get shorty way more than twister, but i do remember liking twister...but i haven't seen it since then i think, i still remember most of get shorty, maybe i should rewatch twister.
i just did a google search, apparently twister was the first dvd released in the US? i should have probably held on to that.

A manly handshake ensues. I have it on vhs, blue ray, torrented it, and just watched it on Amazon Prime. It's my go to movie to watch when I'm sick or just feeling down. Easily my #1 movie. Apparently on the vhs version when Dusty laughs and puts his legs up you can see PSH junk. They edited it out of the DVD and blueray though.
