It's objectively in the upper tier of great. It's a shame most won't care about it due to it not being a drama.
Finding it surprisingly enjoyable despite how much has changed from the comics. Probably one of the few instances where casting a minority for a white character actually wasn't terrible.

Honestly, there's nothing wrong with slow, there's great shows that are slow but can be very gripping.
Preacher is more like some of the writing is just there to be filler for the lack of budget to justify the high-concept story, I haven't read the comics, but I feel like I am watching a very budget show, not just in financials, but creatively as well. If they had stronger writers, every scene would have more intrigue, but it sort of just feels like writing exercises in some episodes to fill up time, and it stagnates in pacing and plotting, and just feels like it savors the low-budget scenes but no fun writing for any of it.
I'll continue watching, just maybe this could have been a shorter series, better pacing, more bang for their buck, not over-exhaust the limited writing team

This. Preacher comic feels a lot more "realistic" than TV show because feels and works more like a modern western with some paranormal stuff. TV show feels like they realized how short is the comic and tried to fill the empty space with more stuff to make it appears more serious or important.
The slow built of LOST and Breaking bad dont work good here

Arseface is there but he's more a sweet kid who is tormented about his ultimate fate due to a so far undisclosed incident that led to a girl being put in a coma, the saint has been teased with the same origin where he sets out to get medicine for his ailing daughter, and there's been mention of grail industries and a cameo of someone who dresses a LOT like him.
They also made Odin quincannon an early up and coming antagonist, no sign of the meat woman but he does love the sound of cattle mutilations.

No. Preacher give you action and character interaction but all of this don´t have any kind of "escalate" tension or important information to feel the show goes to somewhere. That why people feels the show is so slow. To me at this point feels like a weird soap opera than Preacher.

Dont escalate yet. All the action was very isolated. The motel scene in the last episode was the first action scene that really ties into the main plot, and either it will go up from here and that will be good or it doesnt and all the tension will fall flat.

Its Jesse is (so far at least) less relatable and sympathetic than the comic version and though I don't mind Tulip being black and generally like Ruth Negga, I feel she was miscast for the role and that her character in geneal clashes tonally with the rest of the show.
