They can easily get around that. Just show some of the "obviously-they-survived" characters like Rick and Carl, and have them gazing wistfully into the distance while some moody music plays.

There's cool shit they could've released already to build hype. Like Negan grinning in from the outside of Alexandria's gate. Have Rick on the other side with his back to the audience as he's looking at Negan. That would be a poster people would buy for once.
