No, as far as I can remember the plot of the movie was two guys put a jacket on a kangaroo they ran over because they think it's funny, the kangaroo isn't dead and runs away with money in the jacket and they spend the entire movie trying to find it in the desert. There's literally like one 2 minute sequence where it turns into a cartoon character as a gag

Basically the plot is these two guys have a shit load of cash that one of them puts in his jacket. If I remember correctly, they hit a kangaroo by mistake and put the jacket on it to take a picture for a lol, and it runs off with the jacket still on. They are also being chased by a gang. The whole movie is them trying to get the jacket back while running from the thugs
One of the guys gets knocked out and dreams about the kangaroo talking to him, which is the bit from the trailer.

That was a pretty common thing for slightly more adult films a while ago. If it's a mature film with some kiddie elements the marketeers are going to straddle all over the kiddie elements and completely forget the rest of the movie.
