Hi guys i hope you can help me.

i am trying to find an old sci fi movie or mini series i watched in the 80's

the only thing i can remember is that its about a space ship heading back to earth, and also a character needs to hold a cable together otherwise the gun wont fire.

i know its a bit vague.

i think so.

they spoke English and if i remember correctly the ship models looked really good...battlestar galactica good...(the old one)
