>It's actually pretty good

What is this madness

Like paying full price for a blu ray copy good? or more like a discount bin deal good?

Bay is a very competent director, but he mostly just cares about money so he typically makes dumb garbage because he knows it sells. When he actually tries he makes some pretty good movie.

Watch Pain and Gain.

In the middle. It's good, but it's a fairly standard modern war story.

>Michael Bay is bad
When will this meme end?
He's no Scott or Verhoeven, but he's pretty good for what at what he does. Even the last transfomer movie was good

Michael Bay being a bad director is a reddit meme

me and my dad watched this. i was really impressed, he loved it too. could have been trimmed 30 minutes or so. if sicario can do it in 2hours there's no reason this needs to be 2 and 1/2

Yeah I thought it dragged in a few parts, and there were a couple of groaner AMERICA moments, but otherwise it was a pretty solid movie. It was pretty gory too, which surprised me.

really? i thought the over the top patriotism was pretty restrained. i don't remember too many moments they were TOO america.
>>

Just a couple of parts towards the end. There's an American flag in the pool that they linger on, and the chief guy saying "I'm proud to know Americans like you". Otherwise yeah, pretty restrained.

I don't enjoy propaganda.

Art is propaganda.
>>

Honestly it's not propaganda. At least not as much as some other things
