I thought it addressed an interesting philosophical question about repopulation conundrum. Rape a women to repopulate.
Also the action was intense. I think it was done porly, but that's Zombie movies for you, so as an avid viewer of the genre, it was nothing disappointing.
As a normie I could see this being jarring given the movies slick quality until then.
I think Walking Dead fixed this flaw for everyone.

Okay dummy !! You are not thinking. This film is about a life circles of core characters. The third act appears to be running slow, but it also implies their life period gets into later years where everything seems routines. Opposed to the pacing of early stage of this film is relatively fast.

Batman Begins
The Martian
Smoking Aces
Interstellar
Memoto
The Heat
After Earth
RED
Dr. Strangelove

You can't say any movie ends well.
It's fucking impossible, just when the established character and settings the fucking thing ends like that.
Why else are there sequels?

You have to assume it's at least 2/3 of that time. He wouldn't survive for more than a week.

This went to shit way before the third act. Skyfall was good until the third act than became complete garbage.
