Hey guys, Clerks is one of my favorite movies. I just love the casual and mundane feel it has.
That being said, I heard that Kevin Smith was heavily inspired by Richard Linklater's "Slacker".
If I like Clerks, will I enjoy Slacker?

No, Slacker is for people with taste.

no.
slacker, as with all linklater films, is not enjoyable.

Slacker isn't gonna be an easy watch for you if you're expecting a lot of vulgar laughs like Clerks. It's an inspiration in mise en scene only.
But Slacker is amazing. If you let the segments wash over you (it's a bunch of tenuously connected segments reflecting life in Austin among disaffected young people), it will be an amazing experience.
Enjoy it.
Sorry, but Slacker is good. Maybe check out Zack and Miri Make a Porno instead.

back to your Letterboxd containment general.
Slacker is like that episode of the Simpsons where they show different stories for different characters. The one with the scene where Nelson laughs at a man in a small car but the man is actually really tall and mocks Nelson.
