Assuming capeshit's not your thing, it still hasn't been a bad year. We had 13 Hours, The Witch, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Hardcore Henry, The Conjuring 2 and some others.
We still have the Bourne movie, Ben-Hur (I'm cautiously optimistic), Sully, The Magnificent Seven, another Jack Reacher film with Tom Cruise, Hacksaw Ridge (Gibson-direction war movie), Bad Santa 2, and a handful of others depending on your taste.

I fucking love that movie.
I feel a little weird knowing that the great Bernie Mac and the great John Ritter are no longer with us, but I really love the heart and soul of the movie, so I'm happy it's continuing.
I really hope its good. I don't want to put too much expectations on it but I just don't need another disappointment right now.
