no, he had it before live aid. He may not have known it was HIV, but he was losing tons of weight, had to lower the amount of songs at his concerts because he couldnt do as many as he use to, and even then it was a struggle to get the lesser number done (this is also including the fact that he was being a lot less physical on stage)
His bandmates where all shocked he was able to do the entire live aid concert and asked him about it. He said the thrill of being up there mixed with a kind of magic he couldnt explained helped him.
He may not have known he had it, but he had it. He also denied ALL aids/HIV rumors until the day before he died, so you cant even count what he said.
