>>71691761
does the version has hardcoded chinese subs?
>>71691819
Looks like it.
How's the quality?
Already seen it.
>>71691819
the only hardcoded subs are from japanese to korean i think
>>71692440
video quality you can judge for yourself (pic related), the english subs are homemade by someone so they're not perfect but they got the point across in every scene, i was never confused by a poor translation
Won't the english subs placed over the chinese subs look bad?
>>71693397
how new are you
>>71693397
the chinese subs are not hardcoded
>>71691116
>japshit
no thanks
>>71693397
see pic
>>71693466
actually the japs are looked down upon in the movie since its korean
>>71693397
Im watching the version with the hardcoded subs and added eng subs and its totally watchable desu
of course you can always dl the version which is not hardcoded
FUCK YES THEY GOT IT WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW
TV MAY BE GOING DOWN BUT THANKS FOR THIS
>>71693516
>actually the japs are looked down upon in the movie since its korean

>>71691116
>gook torture porn masquerading as cinema
>again
No thanks.
>>71694590
what films are you talking about? im curious
>>71691116
Looks fun,will watch it tonight
2/10
Would wait to accidental IFC channel surf into
>>71694637
The Man From Nowhere
>>71695813
That's not even torture porn, just a pretty good action movie.
>>71695997
Sitting thru it was an unbearable chore and the cunny made me fap
>>71696034
You have several issues then.
>>71696034
not the filmmakers problem you are mentally ill
Best Korean film is Memories of murder, fight me
>>71696093
I agree.
>>71696093
Oldboy
>>71696137
nah overrated as hell also baby's first foreign flick
city of god, pan's labyrinth, amelie the list goes on right?
>>71696093
correct
>>71696093
I Saw The Devil
>>71691116
china does it again
>>71691116
Just finished it and it was great.
moral message: japs are the literal devil
>>71691232
how come this gets subtitled a 4 days after release when movies like chasing doesn't get any attention at all despite being a great movie?
>>71691116
so is this a pure horror movie with actual curses rather than a thriller disguised as horror?
>>71696473
because some random person decided to translate korean to english?
feel free to get someone to do so for chasing
>>71696093
MoM is probably the best runner up is probably The Chaser
>>71696433
meh, it's become a bit of a cliche the japs are always bad people, just like americans
>>71691116
Is this Chinese? I thought they had taboo against ghost/spirits?
>>71696519
What do you mean? In korean movies or in general? Iv seen plenty of korean movies and dont remember the japs being the so called bad guys
>>71696541
korean, they're based as fuck with their movies
>>71696553
whenever a jap is in a korean movie you know that they are going t be bad one way or the other
>>71696559
Was the movie allowed to be viewed in China?
>>71696609
it's from korea
>>71696585
>>71696636
it's not racist if it's not perpetrated by whites
>>71696626
Did they allow it in Chinese theaters? Apparently Ghost Busters 3 isn't allowed, so I'm curious where they draw the line.
>>71696654
>whites
>>71696659
china only allow american, european and Chinese movies in their theaters
>>71696698
Interesting, you learn something new every day.
>>71691116
Thanks for bringing this on my rardar, anon.
Here, have a treat yourself:

>park chan-wook
didn't know he still made movies
>>71696093
What is
> Kundo
> Ode to my Father (International Market)
> A Violent Prosecutor
...
oh wait, all those are are:
> Korean Django Unchained
> Korean Forest Gump
> Korean Shawshank Redemption
> Koreans in charge of not ripping off American movie concepts
>>71691116
Neat.
Have any other good Asian movies come out recently? I haven't paid attention in a while, but I've seen most of the Korean ones.
>>71696968
don't forget about admiral: roaring currents
korean 300 with boats
Best Korino flick coming through.
>>71696968
sk makes better movies than usa right now
>>71697440
This one's actually really good.
>>71696093
Oldboy is definitely the best, it's also the most popular so a bunch of contrarians are undervalueing it.
>>71696093
pleb choice will be Oldboy since it's gotten the most famous outside of the country
Memories of Murder is the true best probably
>>71699653
>Oldboy is definitely the best, it's also the most popular so a bunch of contrarians are undervalueing it.
You'll eventually grow out of the phase where you think Oldboy, Donnie Darko and Fight Club are the best things ever made.
Its not a contrarian opinion, everyone outside of IMDB rates MoM the better movie. and it clearly is.
>>71699824
Which is why oldboy is frequently the first modern Korean films paraded around as a must watch.
It's also the one that won Grand Prize of the Jury at Cannes.
I mean, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0364569/awards?ref_=tt_awd
vs
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0353969/awards?ref_=tt_awd
MoM is fucking good, that's true, but Oldboy is just astounding, which is why it has hte better critical reception.
>>71700359
Oldboy has only a better score on Imdb which is not saying much. MoM is better rated in metascore and rotten tomatoes and evidently a better film
>>71700359
>Grand Prize of the Jury at Cannes.
Garbage like 'Inside Llewyn Davis' can win this, critical reception means nothing when its all hypetrain
try thinking for yourself for once
>>71696405
Agree here
>>71699824
>>71700359
Can you explain why you enjoy MoM so much? I'm not movie reviewer but I personally found a lot of it annoying
I mean the entire police force was grossly incompetent and corrupt no wonder they never caught the murderer
I enjoyed the final scene and the chase but that's what it
>>71696353
oldboy > memories of a murder
also the rest of the movies you name is just the first things you find when you google 'foreign movie'. stay down in the dirt pleb
>read the synopsis
>it's a "we don't know who the bad guy is" episode
>>71700644
Not him, but the representation of the police is not far from what korea had in that time, corrupt and incompetent being key words.
Also I enjoy the camera work, the general atmosphere, and the pacing. And it helps that it's built on a real casein which the murderer never was caught, which makes the final scene that much better.
As for Oldboy, I really like it too, but it didn't leave that much of an impact on me as MoM.
>>71700644
Its based on a true story. They legit didn't have the resources to catch the killer, the guy was never found.
Makes the part where he detective looks into the camera at the end even more powerful.
>>71700720
if you would bother reading the post retard you would realize I was making fun of his taste hence the list goes on meme
lurk more faggot
also prefering Oldboy and calling others pleb oh am I laffin
>>71691116
OH GOODIE
another Korean murder film
>>71700774
That doesn't become clear from your post at all, try to convey your thoughts a bit better
>>71700809
>you in charge of reading comprehension
>>71700644
I'm the guy that said it was the best, you have to look at the honesty of the film and the portrayal of a small shitty police force over their heads with a murder case they just can't solve. The film cemented itself because the actual murder was never solved, and in the final shot he was looking at the viewer, because one of us is the real killer
So anyway, is The Wailing any good? As good as The Chaser and Yellow Sea?
>>71700826
I can understand this post. Great job, you're doing better.
>>71700809
Yes it does but apparently things have to be spelled out to you.
For future reference: I love foreign directors! Tarkovsky, Bergman, Malle,Ozu the list goes on! <- it's a meme you dip
>>71692583
My biggest fear is that a fire will break out while I'm in the Nova. I'll be burnt to a crisp while fighting through those narrow corridors.
>>71700887
I'm not him, lad.
>>71699699
>>71696353
>if it's popular then it's for plebs
>having this mindset and calling others plebs
what a fucking joke, kill you're self already you fucking 18 year olds
>>71700889
>I said something retarded
>better call it a meme so people won't make fun of me
literally the saddest thing i've ever seen
>>71700914
I guess it's your brother posting from the same IP address
>>71700939
I was trying to explain it to you captain autismo but you still don't seem to apprehend what reading is
>saddest thing I've seen
no mirror in your apartment?
>>71700932
you first you will not acquire an actual taste anyway :)
>>71700586
t. mad pleb
>>71701032
Really got me with that one...
I liked 3-Iron, are there any other similar movies?
>>71701021
>you first you will not acquire an actual taste anyway :)
sick burn :p it's funny how you're trying to act elitist by calling people out on "babby's first foregin flick" when you act like you just watched your first Takeshi Kitano movie and now you're the savviest movie buff on reddit lmao fucking poseur
>>71700993
I have three mirrors in my house (not appartment) and I'm handsome and succesful.
My reading comprehension is perfectly fine, I shouldn't be responding to stupid bait posts like this one though. I argued you into a corner and you resort to ad hominems.
>>71701103
Nice projecting mate.
But nah not really. Noone here is acting elitist I'm simply stating why a certain film is better than the other and you got butthurt.
also nice mention of Reddit you forgot to type cuck btw
>>71701157
>Noone here is acting elitist
>I'm simply stating why a certain film is better
The fact that you don't see the irony in this tells me enough. Begone troll.
>>71701123
>My reading comprehension is perfectly fine
well that's where you are wrong since this conversation is still going on. If you bothered to read the previous posts this would not be happening.
>>71701177
Is stating the obvious what gets you butthurt? Probably shouldnt be using this site then
>>71696896
of course he does
>>71701189
I have read all your posts and I understand them all. Maybe 1 out of 100 words I have to google because I don't know their exact meaning. All your words I was able to understand immediately without googling. What is your point?
>>71701206
Now you're just trying to cheaply get a rise out of me.
Makes a lot of sense for someone who prefers Oldboy over MoM
>>71701339
Are you for real? this started because I prefer Memories of Murder over Oldboy. Maybe read all the replies?
Now you've really done it
>>71701378
LOL now you're backpedalling. Okay, I'm not going to reply to you anymore. Obvious troll is obvious.
>>71696093
Seom is actually the correct answer, pleb
>>71691116
>The.Wailing.2016.720p.mkv
what is this, some kind of pseudo-scene naming convention?
>tfw no buddy to invite me to hdbits or ptp
>>71701403
>>71696353
>backpedalling
if you would actually read you would have seen I said correct numbnuts
never cared about these sort of genres. what's takeshi's role in the movie's development by the way? is he just doing a cameo?

Exorcist Korean edition?
>>71703037
I see nothing wrong here.
How do Koreans always manage to make such Kino? They've got so many amazing thrillers it's unbelievable desu
>>71696093
But you are right.
A lot of these highly rated korean movies rely too much on shock-factor honestly. Watch them more than once and they go straight from amazing to mediocre.
>>71691116
>gooks
>>71700644
Are you being fucking serious right now?
You were unimpressed with the movie because of that? Because it had an incompetent police force? Despite that being a huge intentional theme in the movie???
these people browse /tv/?????????????????????????????????????
I'm legi9t fucking triggered right now, good fucking job

You mean a crime thriller?

>le I hate le capeshit
>le I hate quips
It's an entertaining blockbuster, and that's what people- everywhere but here- want. I didn't like it btw, but it's a safe standard of quality
>>71693466
can you not read the fucking poster
>>71703753
not that anon, but just because people want virtually the exact same carbon copy of the previous film doen't make it good.
>the masses will see it ; its a good film (the rating is justified)
