Something about Amadeus works perfectly.
It feels absolutely, flawlessly period, yet it's thoroughly modern. It's just wonderfully wrought in almost an indescribable way.
I feel like that Marie Antoinette movie with Kursten Dunst tried to do that in like a retarded way, with there being random anachronisms throne in for modern purposes, and failed.
