Every other modern horror film is too lazy to actually make a real scary film nowadays. 9/10 times they always rely on jump scares.
Films that do try to not use jump scares are overrated meme films like the witch and babadook.
I've never watched a movie that scares me. Never. The only thing that gets to me is disturbing movies. I don't think you're meant to get scared by a movie past 14
