Any film buffs out there know why the DC movies look like actual movies (quality of the scenes, recordings and such) and the Marvel ones look literally like TV cop shows? Are they shot with cheaper cameras? I can't believe Disney is that greedy.
>>71669591
yea methinks you protest too much, likely have a bountiful BLACKED folder

Marvel films want to look calmer and more mundane, so as not to confuse viewers used to cellphone commercials and sitcoms. DC decided to make real films and paid for it.
I love how DCCU, MoS, and BvS are still discussed on this board while all the marveldrones cant figure out how to start a thread. Actual /tv/ posters are discussing these films while summerfags swoop in every now and then to "discuss" le marvel

They don't
They look like videogames
>>71669513
I havn't seen that movie...
how amazing is this fictional movie you dreamed off.
Just stop it already, DCucks.
DC lost and will never be able to make something as high quality as Civil War or Avengers.

You're not an actual /tv/ poster though
especially if you consider capeshit film and not movie tier trash
>>71669830
try harder m8. I believe you can do it
>>71669700
Well for starters, MCU movies are largely directed by filmmakers whose main previous experience in the industry has been through television. Joss Whedon being a prime example.

We don't really discuss good movies on /tv/ new friend. So what about that Movie Drive and Gods Among Us.
They're a big guy for you!!! Batman's new movie is even better then Dark Night Rises

Go back to your home board/site you anti art f*cking pleb scum.
“A movie is made for an audience and a film is made for both the audience and the filmmakers. I think that The Game is a movie and I think Fight Club‘s a film. I think that Fight Club is more than the sum of its parts, whereas Panic Room is the sum of its parts. I didn’t look at Panic Room and think: Wow, this is gonna set the world on fire. These are footnote movies, guilty pleasure movies. Thrillers. Woman-trapped-in-a-house movies. They’re not particularly important.” - David Fincher
"My film is not a movie. My film is not about Vietnam. It is Vietnam. It's what it was really like. It was crazy. We were in the jungle, there were too many of us, we had access to too much money, too much equipment, and little by little we went insane." — Francis Ford Coppola
>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film#Terminology_used
>By contrast, in the US "movie" is the predominant form. Although the words "film" and "movie" are sometimes used interchangeably, "film" is more often used when considering artistic, theoretical, or technical aspects, as studies in a university class and "movies" more often refers to entertainment or commercial aspects, as where to go for fun on a date. For example, a book titled "How to Read a Film" would be about the aesthetics or theory of film, while "Lets Go to the Movies" would be about the history of entertaining movies.

movies are about economics.
cinema is about esthetics.
film is about politics.

Also the separation is recognized in these texts

Tarkovsky's Sculpting in Time
