Maybe if he was A BIT LESS SHOUTY he could host the car show version of Antiques Roadshow. But being a SHOUTY ARSEHAT and general bag of dicks with random changes like "lol let's have the guest stars do a rally circuit so my show is different" just doesn't work.
I will say this, the show was immeasurably better from Ep 3 on and with him gone they have a chance to put together a decent hosting team from the crowd they've got. Maybe leave Matt as head host and have the other two rotate between Sabine, Eddie, Rory, and Chris Harris.
It's fair to say that whoever took this on after Clarkson, May, and Hammond would have been on a hiding to nothing for their troubles, but Chris Evans was a spectacularly poor choice.
