Rate this long take. Is it kino?

wtf was Scyther in this
>>
It's not bad but I honestly don't see what the long take brings to the scene. It would've been just fine if they shot it normally.
>>
What was the point of this scene?
Why is batman wearing a jacket in the desert over his batsuit?
>>
>>71631181
not to mention the obviously shit choreography being easily seen in the long takes.

This.
You're gonna shot an action sequence on a steadicam? Make the camera fucking move, impress me, do something.

>Batman’s nightmare of battling Superman plus his own enigmatic demons imagined as Stymphalian wasps. The scene spins agonizingly slowly (though not in slow motion), becoming ever more hallucinatory. It fuses comic-book imagery to the oldest Western myths.
>>
>>71631071

No, it's nothing but an advert for the next step in the DC "cinematic universe," makes zero sense in the context of the movie and must have baffled the shit out of cinema-goers. Terrible, incoherent filmmaking.

They should have made the whole movie in this setting.

Maybe something happening to Lois after Superman killed Zod.

Flash eventually travels back in time to pre-Lois death or some shit..

I mean for one, in the Knightmare sequence, we could actually fucking see things.
>>

The Knightmare scene was the best thing the movie did, actually showing a vision of what Doomsday or Dictator Superman could do.

Yes. Guns themselves are frightening but you cannot see the bullets. Same device was used in the movie Snowpiercer, where bullets are rare so the guards carry empty guns and only ever hit the lower caste, while threatening to shoot should they act up again. It's all about fear.

What choreography?
The only thing resemble a choreography's Cap doing a little flip, then you have Walder waving his hands with CGI magic glow, Hawkeye swinging his arms for some reasons, CG ironman float across the screen for some reason, Vision the same, Hulk's complete CGI
>>
>>71632763
CG is not inherently bad.

Some things and some sequences cannot be anything but CG. Everything else you said is contrived. Its a really simple scene:

>Wanda using magic
>Hawkeye swinging bow
>Ironman shooting his energy blasts
>Vision ripping bots apart
>Hulk doing the same.

You have a low angle to accentuate the wholes in the entry way and capture the flight as well as the camera spinning so that every "hero" gets featured without making the scene feel claustrophobic, needing quick cuts, or spending too much time.

BvS uses the long take because its impressive while the webm you posted actually has an understandable purpose and effect.

This was honestly, and I wish this were a pasta, the high point of the film for me. It is the synecdoche of Batman v Superman, the whole film is personified by this scene: in literally 59 seconds, all of Snyder's ignorance of what makes Batman work as a character and of what makes Marvel succeed as a franchise is laid bare.
Batman's no-kill rule has always been what defines his character.
> muh why he let jokur go free
Shut the fuck up. The essence of Batman is that to combat crime he has tapped into the element of fear that all criminals rely on. The only thing keeping him from becoming what he's fighting is his rule not to kill others. Were he to cross that line, everything he stands for would implode. What makes him better than other heroes is he can tap into his own darker side and come out whole. Making him kill debases all that Batman is, he becomes just another thug. This scene and Snyder don't give a shit about or understand that, nevertheless.

Onto Marvel. Marvel's success, DCucks say what they want, is that they've managed to create a universe bidding their time and generally avoiding crammed films. Again, Snyder understands the arithmetics (2 > 1, right?) but not the mechanics (5 =/= 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1) of a cinematic universe, and by cramming the scene to hell and back with all sorts of visual callbacks and unfulfilled foreshadowing and general fan-wank he rapes the concept of what makes Marvel great, and DC is struggling to follow.

10/10 scene.

the only time he used real glass was by accident in Police Story 2 when he jumped through the wrong window, and - not surprisingly - he was badly cut when he did it.

>During the stunt where Jackie jumps from one bus to a double decker bus and through a window Jackie got badly cut. He ended up jumping through the wrong window which was made of real glass.

Yeah, and the actors don't even really have superpowers either, what a big fat lie.

Who cares how much skill or finesse it took the stuntmen? The point of a movie is to make it look good.

Is it because they are mad /tv/ doesn't pay attention to them?

I mean, there's an average of 5 threads about DC everyday but none for Marvel.

The biggest issue with this whole movie is no cohesion between the heroes except Thor and Cap a couple of times but otherwise it's just a whole lot of nothing.

>>
>>71638344
The teamwork in the Doomsday fight was one of the best examples I've seen in a comic movie, I feel.

When it came down to taking out Doomsday they ALL had a specific and important roll to play. It wasn't just about showing teamwork for the sake of it. If even one of the three wasn't there it would've all fell through.

>bats has the kryptonite
>ww saves bats
>ww was able to keep doomsday in place (lasso)
>bats had the remaining kryptonite pellet for when the lasso ended up failing
>superman had the strength to plunge the spear into Doomsday, but fat chance if that would've ever happened if it was still jumping around

By pure coincidence Wonder Woman lassoed Doomsday and Batman used the kryptonite grenade right when Superman was flying with the spear, even though they didn't knew about it

Had they communicated a little more instead of stating retarded shit and doing poses, Superman wouldn't even need to die

Batman didn't do anything but stand around awkwardly waiting to fire and WW should have been given the spear as she's been training with one for centuries and not hurt by Kryptonite

meanwhile the Avengers movies constantly have smart and original moves where the characters abilities play off of each other for teamwork, and not just to beat the bad guy, but to save civilians, something highly illegal in DC movies

Batman didn't have much he could do, but he did stick around and his involvement was needed in the end. He was also the one to lure Doomsday into an area with no civillians.

Wonder Woman was able to keep Doomsday in that general area when Superman seemingly couldn't (he was getting smacked all over the place). Wonder Woman was largely able to hold her ground. Doomsday's preoccupation with Wonder Woman was also what gave Superman the chance to grab the spear.

I can see why people would see some of this as seeming coincidental, but I saw it as a way of showing that these prolific figures naturally covered each other's weaknesses when it counted. I thought it was a great and different way to demonstrate teamwork.
>>
>>71638344

Because in BvS they're not a team who've spent considerable time training together for situations like the ones they're facing. 10 minutes before the fight two were trying to kill each other and they didn't even know the third one was going to be there. MCU fights feel rehearsed because they are, and the BvS fight felt exactly like what it was: a ragtag trio of people who don't really know the others' capabilities in an impromptu scrap against an unexpected opponent.

Fuck man I want a movie set in this dream now. Imagine how many people in Europe and America are atheists who value ethnic purity because of the culture they live in. Imagine if Superman actually did exist and he took their side so you have all these white nationalists in the presence of what appears to be an ancient nordic god (or greek god if Wonder Woman joins them too). They would be trying to lead the world back into kingdoms since they feel that democracies have failed them and some of them may begin using Cyborg's augmentations to make themselves superhuman so they wouldn't have to use guns or heavy armor and then they become sort of neo crusaders fighting for their god using a bullet resistant cyborg body and futuristic swords. Luther could probably even come to some sort of understanding with Superman where he is given lots of power and is seen as the ubermench while Superman isn't looked like as human at all because he has the powers of a god. I want this movie so fucking bad now.

It's parallel memories Batman recieved as a result of The Flash traveling through time, who we see soon after. It was not a dream. The suit Flash is wearing is presumebly to help him travel back.
It's foreshadowing a probable future, and a plot device, for Batman to have an even greater worry for Superman. Even though the Flash was really warning Bats about Darkseid. Hence the omega symbol, parademons, Apokolips-like terraformed Earth, and Superman being under Darkseid's influence. Most likely because must have been killed. "Lois is they key" remember?

What are you fucking serious? You really think they used that long take to make it COOL?

Its a fucking dream-sequence, its supposed to be different from the rest of the fights of the film. Long take deliberately used because its supposed to make you feel kinda "weird". Holy shit all the retards doesn't understand the purpose of the filmmaking in the first place in this thread.

this was the 2nd best scene in the movie behind the warehouse fight
>>
>>71642262
yeah, to me too, it's not a dream. i think the "dream" actually happened in an attosecond (in real time) before flash starts talking to bruce.
rephrasing (if not abusing) what Eobard Thawne said, "break the sound barrier, you create a sonic boom. break the time barrier(what ezra's flash did), you create a time boom".
this time boom creates ripple of time perceived by bruce, like sonic boom would create a ripple of pressurized/depressurized air.
that's how the mechanics of the "dream" goes, though to me the context can be interpreted in many ways
