It's a series of 10 short films made for Polish television. Each is a separate story inspired by one of the Ten Commandments, all involving people who live in this one apartment complex. Sometimes the main character of one episode will make a small appearance in another. They all have the same director, but most have different cinematographers, so they look different from each other.
I have never seen a Kieslowski film since for some reason they haven't been distributed in my country since their original theatrical releases (except for, oddly enough, Amator (called Camera Buff in the US, I think), which was released on dvd here some years ago and is very hard to find).
However, I have Trois Couleurs, Veronique, Blind Chance, and Dekalog all on my computer right now. Which one should I start out with? Maybe another one that I don't have yet?
