Underage gangbang
>>
Just make it more graphic. The original movie is overall pretty good but since it was made for TV it was pretty toned down.

Just give as all the proper gore and horror of the book and I'm good.
>>
I hope it retains the surreal, hallucinogenic nature of the scares in the novel and in the TV mini-series.

Pennywise is an ancient ethereal shape-shifting evil that feeds on fear and brings nightmares to life.
He's not just a slasher-villain.

i saw this movie when i was like 5 on VHS and it scared the living crap out of me for so long, i hid behind the fucking couch so i couldn't see the TV screen anymore. i was scared of being on my own in the back garden for months afterwards. sometimes i would realise i'm completely on my own and run straight inside.

she tried to show it was a movie, he got rekt and wasn't real but fuck. i don't think i ever saw a movie as scary, i even used to watch shit like terminator and robocop at this time.

though i think it was around the time ghostwatch aired for the first time on BBC and that scared the living shit out of me.

>>
>>71615528
>most people have read the book
Get this hothead outta here
>>
>>71614636

I agree, but they're going to have to be careful with it. I think the TV miniseries showed pretty definitively that some on the scares in the book don't work on screen, like when Pennywise takes the shape of the teenage werewolf. Yeah, sure, it makes sense that a preteen in the 50s might see that movie, be scared shitless by it, and then his imagination builds the werewolf up into something far more frightening than it was on screen and THAT'S what Pennywise uses... but you can't really duplicate that on screen. It'll just look like teen wolf. There are some scares that genuinely work in the book (the standpipe sequence is unnerving) and I hope the filmmakers have the wherewithal to know which ones they can make work on screen and which ones they can't.

I'm also hoping the movie(s) actually use some of the cosmic stuff from the book, like The Turtle or the Ritual of Chud.
>>

>>
>>71615564

Scariest bits for me in the book were always:

>Standpipe kids
>Pennywise on the frozen river
>the Leper
>Bev and the sink, or anytime the voices of dead kids speak out of drains or it's implied Pennywise can pull anybody down through a drain, like that poor kid he drowned in the toilet
>Audra's late night visit
>>
>>71615573

>>
>>71615657
Well at least you admit to being 12 years old.
>>
We need Pennywise to be more menacing. Curry was good but he was still like 75% whimsical and 25% terrifying when it should be more like 60/40.

Also I wouldn't mind seeing the actual flashbacks, like the gangster shooting and the burning of the black soldier's bar.
>>
>>71615780
>like it was a Coke fueled fuckfest
Right, it wasn't just some orgy.

It was a tender and emotionally fulfilling group love-in.
>>
>>71615680

The thing about that scene is that, weird and grungy and creepy as it is, it's sort of the heart of the book. The book's about a lot of things, but most of all it's about how painful it is to grow up. King basically spells out in that scene that "It is a metaphor" for sex, being the word kids us for sex. It's the doorway from childhood to adulthood, and it can be scary as shit to a kid, but in the end growing up is natural and sex doesn't need to be scary. The Losers have positive, life-affirming sex, and in that moment stop being children, rejecting the horror and fear of "It."

Of course, it's also a scene in which sixe preteen boys rail one preteen girl in a dirty sewer pipe. It's never going to make it into the fucking movie.
>>
>>71615227

me in the middle
>>
>>71615822

I still kinda wish this was a Netflix miniseries in the vein of "Stranger Things" and then they'd have the freedom to just spend a whole episode on Mike Hanlon researching Derry's past.
>>
>>71615876

That could be cool. I mean ultimately it's that important to the overall story but they were cool stories and it'd be nice to see them.
>>
>>71615822

In the book, every time Pennywise was on the attack (which isn't often; most of the time It attacks or kills someone in the book It isn't in the shape of Pennywise) he had black, empty eye sockets and a way-too big mouth full of needle-like teeth and his clown lipstick looked like blood. They really need to keep that shit it, Pennywise isn't scary as just a clown, he's scary when you realize the clown is just a mask over something much worse.
>>
>>71615955

Exactly. Sadly there was just a little too much Tim Curry in the performance.
>>
>>71615894

Yeah, Derry's history, and all the non-Losers club stories about Pennywise's attacks, was at times more interesting to me than the main story. The weight of how long Pennywise had been around, how thorough his hold on the town was, and how many thousands of lives he had ruined over the centuries really made his presence seem more oppressive and threatening later on.
>>
>>71616023

Right, IT is scarier as a concept than it is in actual reality. Kids can be afraid of a spider but it takes an adult to be afraid of something that has always existed and has terrorized the planet and the universe since the beginning of time.
>>
I wonder how the movies will actually play out. When you get right down to it, the two separate plots of IT are really very basic.

Plot A: seven kids in the 1950s each have an individual encounter with a supernatural monster mixed in with some vignettes about their home life and their run ins with the bully. They collectively get together, fight the monster once, then fight it a second time. End of story.

Story B: The seven kids are adults, we get a series of vignettes about their adult lives, then they all go back to their hometown, each have one run in with the same supernatural monster each, fight their childhood bully again, and then go down in the sewers to fight the monster again, all in the span of one day and night.

The book makes these two fairly simple stories work by cutting back and forth between them, plus mixing in some history interludes. But from what I understand, the movies will tell story A in the first movie and story B in the second movie. I'm not sure how well they'll hold together when told in that straight linear fashion. They were never designed to be. If you just told Story A straight up, with none of the adult stuff, it's structure would make no goddamn sense, being frontloaded with a ton of individual character stuff and with them actually functioning as a team and fighting the monster all crammed into the last third.
>>
>>71616272

They did the same thing with the first movie.
>>
>>71616470

That movie had a ton of flashbacks between the past and present, though. Also, it wasn't very good, I'd say at least due in some part to its structure.
>>
I hope the soundtrack incorporates creepy real-world children's rhymes into it, sung by a children's choir. Or maybe does a Nightmare on Elm Street style creepy kid's rhyme alluding to the true horror of Derry. That always seemed like it would be appropriate for a film adaptation of the book.
>>
>>71616708

That's pretty cliche and wasn't in the books. So no.

I've never read the book, the mini-series sucked but Curry's performance was great. I don't think much of the story (from what I know), but the very concept of the It is rather fascinating and someone like David Lynch or Cary Fukunaga could do wonders with it. they need to flesh out the whole story and setting. the aesthetic of the 1950s with the backdrop of a monster murdering children. they better not change the time periods because theyre just as essential as any other part of the book. Theyre so much backstory to the town of derry, the characters and even pennywise but theyre probably going to do away with most of it and just focus on the kids, the monster and pop culture references.
HBO should have just turned it into a mini series
>>
>>71615564
its possible, they just need to take time and build the tension and story. to just have pennywise show up like that with no build up would fall flat
It'll also help if they keep the time periods the same. making it modern like they said they would do would be terrible. Like kids today would go out in play rather then be inside on their phones

He pauses every so often to massage his cock, finally erupting into orgasm as in the novel he's creating the nigger enters Bev's waiting gash.

The rating was never the problem. The studio was insisting on casting that fucking Howdy Doody looking dude as Pennywise and was also forcing him to film in Canada instead of Maine for budgetary reasons. I'm sure there were other issues but those were the 2 big ones. Funny because they ended up casting someone else anyways. Don't know where it's shooting tho.

I really hope they go all out with it. Fans of the book won't be happy unless it's a hard R.
