I just have a dislike of traditional forums. Moderation abuse (not like it doesn't happen on 4chan, but some boards are far lighter on the moderation than others, even more so compared to forums). General clique issues that come from 'older accounts, more posts' etc which can lead to user based moderation/attacks.
These issues are on 4chan as well, but as long as you don't tripfag you can't be as easily shut down for dissenting opinions.

I showed an episode of Rick And Morty to my friends earlier. They were going "wtf is this, it's shit." about a minute in. At this point I realized that my personality has absolutely nothing in common with any of them.
Every single episode has had things in it which made me laugh at least once and I'm hard to please. Maybe even that one with the giant heads in space, though it's my least favorite episode (FUCK musical episodes in ANY TV show)...
But anyway... I preferred the very early episodes where Rick's personality was different. It's hard to explain what I mean, but after the first few episodes he became more controlled. In the earlier episodes he seemed more unpredictable and crazy, which I thought was a better fit for the character. He also seemed more of a drunkard and may have stammered more which I also liked. I saw pictures of the comic book and his personality in the comics seems to be more like how it was in the earlier episodes of the TV series. I hope to see his personality return to the "wackier" version of himself in season 3... But even if it doesn't, both forms of Rick are funny and it may be my favorite animated series of all time.

Nobody laughs at that aspect of it. However, both things make the characters seem out of control which is needed to make them really work. The characters actually become more controlled in later episodes but I would prefer they return to how it was initially. The drinking and alcoholic burping also helps to make Rick seem totally irresponsible which also helps.

I would agree, but I would rather say it's "not the show's strongest point"... Because even those episodes were good. The final episode of season 2 had great moments, it still made me laugh in parts and is still a good episode even though it does get heavy.

I like that they pretty much just fucked around in the recording studio and then had the animators draw whatever they came up with, instead of the reverse. I haven't seen this in other shows.
