I like the concept, but I don't think Harness has managed to grasp it. Buffy did it really well by applying the monster of the week to daily teenage-problems for example but Doctor Who tries to take large world-encompassing problems and apply easy solutions to it, and in the process the whole thing feels awfully pretentious.
