This isn't true whatsoever. Saitama's interaction with other characters (mostly Genos) is also played for humor. Lots of dialogue, visual, and slapstick gags. His immense strength stops being played for humor after the first arc. Saitama also isn't the only character with comedic quirks in the series.
Also, having prior knowledge that main character will always win isn't any different from any battle manga.
