Unlike other memes, which occupy a single thread at a time, the frogposter takes the existence of other frog threads as a cue for him to post his own. The frogposter will only be satisfied with his own thread and disdains the use others already existing. The driver of frogposting therefore is not about the content of whats posted, but the narcissism of its creator. It's motivated entirely from a yearning to be noticed.
The frogposter is a desperate, insecure creator. One who desires more than anything to feel included, but lacks the mental requisites for anything more taxing than regurgitation.

Thank you for illustrating my point.
If I could expand on the aspect of Frogposters being vacuous narcissists I think a few things bear mentioning.
Examining the anatomy of a frogthread there are two salient points:
One is that frogthreads are inherently derivative. Unlike other threads which rely on OC as lifeblood, frogthreads only recycle material. They do not create new material, they pillage from existing media. Being derivative in nature it requires no creativity. No effort. No thought at all. The text portion of a frogthread is entirely a thoughtless exercise. The object, therefore, is not to create something new that other posters can admire, but to cast a widest net as possible and recall something that the most posters will recall themselves. The frogthread is a 'reaching out' by the creator to the vast body of 4chan hoping for an acknowledgement. It is a social endeavor, not a creative or intellectual one.
The other feature I think that illuminates my point of narcissism is the pictures used. The use of "Pepe" is twofold. One is that it is instantly recognizable. It draws attention by being a familiar sight and lets the viewer know exactly what they're in for. Secondly is that it fuels their narcissism. The appeal of "pepe" is its versatility, that there are thousands of different 'unique' "pepes" which can be hand-picked to perfectly accompany a thread. More thought in any frogthread will go into which 'pepe' to use than the actual post itself. It is the 4chan version of playing 'dress up'. It is about choosing the right outfit from a vast catalog that will aggrandize the user the most.
There's more I could say, but all of above are just some musing on this particularly malignant vein of shitposters.

Literally the only people who care about people posting frogs are Redditors trying desperately to fit in.
Prove me wrong. Protip:You can't

I'll just prove that frogposters are from reddit.
