Miss me yet?
No, digital it's better for masturbatory purposes
dead media format general?
>>71572956
DVD players were pretty ugly back then, damn.
>>71572956
Hyper Bass Sound
I miss watching old WWF/WWE matches I recorded off tv on VHS. Ultimate comfy.
>>71572956
Not at all.
I could put multiple HD movies onto a memory card the size of a thumbnail if I wanted. I would never want to go back to the VHS era for entertainment.

$20 says you have diabetes and your whole house smells like cat piss.
>>71572956
my setup wouldnt be complete without one
>>71573933
send me your 20 because you're dead wrong, dick face
>>71573974
I thought most people still owned a VCR. They're great for recording things off of the TV.
>>71575043
This.
I think I only recording something on DVD once in the past 10 years. My parents finally bought a dvd-recorder probably 2006 or 7 even though we had a dvd player in 2001.
dvd recorders are shit, they brand your recordings with shitty title screens and low quality,
VCR recordings is literally, push in tape, hit rec. done.

>Miss me yet?
Not in the least.
>>71573974
What kind of TV is that? It's beautiful
>>71575736
a 1981 Mitsubishi front projection
>>71572956
>Miss me yet?
Not in the slightest. I'm probably the few here who actually owned one but they were pieces of shit so glad they are gone
>>71575878
pretty neat
shame about the room
>>71575946
its a basement, cant do much with it except light fires and listen to music
>not having both a blu ray player and a VHS/DVD player that can copy VHS tapes to DVD
>>71575093
This.
And they looked fine on CRT TVs.
Now, only blu-rays or 8gb mkvs can look good on HDTVs.
>>71575878
>hear the term "rear projection" for years
>never realize there were actually "front projection" tv sets
fuck i'm dumb
>>71576249
front projections are cool because you can see all three color tubes, as they bounce off the mirror.
i use to look into them as a kid, maybe thats why my eyesight is so bad
>>71572956
>dial forwarders/rewinders
Stupidest thing to ever be put on a VCR. Absolutely fucking disgusting.
>>71576024
your room is 70s as fuck
The best VCR ill ever own, picked it up from a thrift for $5. probably cost over 400 in the 1990
>>71576567
That side panel on the VHS player looks like a fucking blast door.
I miss the CLUNK of putting in a tape, and the feeling of when it "grabs".
Nothing else though. In my experience VCRs broke really easily. When renting tapes back in the day there was a good chance the tape would be fucked up in some way.
>>71576024
looks kinda comfy. I have the same audio casette holder over on the right.
>>71576691
it looks sleek as fuck when closed
>>71573974
That's actually pretty sweet
>>71577078
Holy shit. Goddamn.
>>71577078
nice
>>71576303
I used to have a cheap laser pointer as a kid and I used to look into that! What an idiot. Luckily i'm only a litle shortsighted and not fucking blind.
There was a great thread on /tv/ a few weeks ao about HD VHS. think i saved it...
Picked up the original VHS releases of ANH, ESB and ROJ from my deceased uncle the other day. Expect they were only watched a handful of times, knowing him. Can't wait to buy a new player to watch them on.
>>71572956
Yes, because I have a fucking copy of Innerspace I want to watch AND FUCKING CAN'T
>Implying Video2000 wasn't the best format
Seriously, this had better picture quality than VHS and it had double-sided tapes so you could just flip them over for twice the recording time, up to 16 hours depending on the tape.
>>71572956
No. You took too long to rewind.
