Reynolds has an incredibly annoying way of delivering his lines and the action was shit. I made it to the first scene of him as a normal person, got bored after 3 minutes, skipped to the incredibly poorly done ending action scene. Also, that whole thing was put together so if the studio wanted to make it PG-13 they'd only have to make a few small edits - i.e. CGI blood, quick shots of nudity with no main actors in them, and f-bombs that are all said off screen or by characters without mouths. It wasn't funny. Nor was a deconstruction of anything.
All we have was a not-so-wise-cracking jackass who wants to fix his face and blatantly points out the flaws of his own movie and expects us to laugh at how shitty it was. The humor is as intelligent as youtube poop I would have watched in middle school.

Some parts of it were funny (the baby hand, the indian cab driver), but other parts were really cringey and terrible (did I turn the stove off?). The romantic comedy parts were terrible, and the villian is by far the least interesting capeshit villain I've seen in years.
4/10, made me laugh enough to justify ticket price, but I wouldn't call it a good movie.
watched a TS of it when it came out...enjoyed it overall but it wasn't anything to write home about.

In a time where every capeshit film, thanks to disney and its MCU, is so formulaic and safe, Deadpool was a refreshing breath of fresh air. And that's really the only thing it has going for it. I didn't find the majority of it funny, but the comedy was passable enough that it didn't make me roll my eyes or cringe. That's one thing that I never understood from people criticizing this film, they make it seem as if it's a memefest filled with the most offensive cringe-inducing memes, but the reality is there are very few memes in it.
Do I like Deadpool? Not really, but it's definitely not bad, and worth checking out.
You need to understand that Deadpool isn't noteworthy by any universal standard. It has above average writing to make ignorant geeks think they're consuming some complex work of art but in reality, it is nothing more than a shallow capeshit in disguise of something more. These fans believe they hold a sense of intellectual superiority to fans of the latter but they are sadly misguided. Show them something like Andrei Rublev or Shahnameh and they would be left bewildered. The fact is consuming Deadpool is actually unhealthy to the human mind, it stunts emotional growth and maturity.

I have pretty much been a lifelong Deadpool fan and I loved it, but the biggest problem with it was "oh look how R Rated they are we have sooo much blood and gore" and literally any blood or gore shown in the movie was shown for like half a millisecond before they would cut away, honestly if you cut out all of the swears and the one shot of the guy getting splatted on the street sign in the beginning, it could be PG-13. Otherwise, it's a fine film, very comic accurate.
