Is this the best horror movie ever made?

It's not.
Alien is better
There are certainly reasons to respect it, and under the right pretext, it can be awesome upon a first viewing. However, the constant praise it's given from fans has often winded up leaving newcomers disappointed.

Top 10 film ever, best horror ever. Nightmare came to life.
Heard the Haunting (1963) is one of the best.

I was watched this again last night
The ending and the music that goes along with it into the credits gives off such an great erie vibe.
Childs was definitely the Thing.
