>mods killing body paint version edtion
"Commander, tell me about your sexual organs."
>>71536443
Pretty sure it had nothing to do with body paint.
Friday night they want premier shitpost in and generals and blacked threads to bleed through to the younger crowd.
Not even pol.
Is Enterprise season 4 worth watching.
>>71536573
Yup, if it were about body paint we would have just removed the image. This is about message control. Deal with it, Nazi.
>>71536610
Season 3 and 4 are the best ENT.
Some people prefer 3 to 4 or vice versa just stay away from this episode (Daedalus) and the very last episode and I think you'll have a good time.
It's much more fanservice to the TOS era as well dedicated 2-3 episode arcs.
Most people like it, even if ENT is not their thing.
>>71536649
I don't like the idea of TV generals but it definitely mitigate the redundant threads, meme posting, and other aborted shit the board has seemed to attract like the NX01 in the Delphic Expanse nebula.
>You've got ta help us! The mods are gone, the Aussies are everywhere!!!
>>71536486
*nods concernedly at you*
>>71536573
The real reason is that people were waking up to ENT being good, and they needed to shut it down quickly
>>71536858
"Most people."
Get out.
>>71536610
There are some good episodes in season 4, but most, perhaps all, of the stinkers are in season 4.
Any new info on the new series?
Which network is it even going to be on?
Will it be in CBS or the CW?
>>71538532
>it's an "Archer upholds Dred Scott vs. Sandford" episode
What are the most immoral decisions in Star Trek history?
>that one time Starfleet found Stargate portals but never mentioned or used them ever again
>>71536858
Enterprise had a much higher ratio of good to bad episodes than any other Star Trek series.
I would say the best seasons are 1-3, but there are a few very good episodes in season 4.
Season 4 would have been infinitely better without the TNG trappings, including Riker, Troi, and that fag that played Data.
>>71538821
Well, at least in my experience, 3 and/or 4 are the two seasons people like most from Enterprise (if they like the series at all).
The last thread was basically an homage to the series until janny got a littl uptight.
>>71539000
No networks. Some CBS streaming service that nobody owns.
>>71539136
That's a good question.
I think Starfleet committed genocide and condoned it several times.
>>71539147
The Riker & Troi episode was the "finale", which even the cast hated and is thought of as not even being part of the series but a holodeck simulation during the episode "Pegasus" from TNG.
The augments episodes was "okay". The stupid ripped shirts and super human power seemed ridiculous and I agree that the use of Spiner as Dr. Soongh's "grandfather" was even more of a hint that they were trying to use all of the past series' coattails to get the ratings up.
>>71539000
The first season Is set in the Enterprise B era.
Then the producer said something about another 13 episodes set in another era or timeline. Maybe even the Kelvin timeline we still don't know.
>>71538850
Name one stinker in season 4 other than the finale, the premiere, the transporter episode, the angsty teenagers in ripped clothing, the angsty teenage Klingons with smooth foreheads, or the one where Shran refuses to save the galaxy unless he can fight Archer to the death
>>71539000
Literally no hope. It will either be teen shit or SJW shit.
>in b4 star trek was always liberal
I know this I just don't want obvious pandering like lesbian black captain Tanesha Jenkins of the USS Diversity.
>>71539142
They came back in an episode of DS9.
>>71539260
Okay, /trek/, you are appointed as an executive producer on Star Trek 2017.
How do (You) make it socially progressive but without alienating the coveted 4chan demographic?
>>71539231
Bullshit, nobody's said anything. They have a tight gag order until after ST:Beyond is out.
>>71536858
>Daedalus
I don't see the hate for this episode. The motivation is understandable and pretty spooky while making a nice addition to the list of transporter episodes.
>>71539282
Worf even mentioned how he was part of the original Iconian mission. Pretty good cross-series continuity, like the Ferengi on Voyager or the Organian observers on *shudders* Enterprise.
>>71539260
I just want good Trek.
If the crux of the show is "we're here in space, now let's discuss what gender this thing is" or "sure we enslaved the Remans years ago but we must repay them for they are still indebted to us through the actions of our ancestors".
If the stories of the silent majority are relegated to the stories vehement minority then it's dead on arrival.
>>71539342
Shut up it was leak in the Star Trek official podcast last week.

>>71539364
It's like they took the good parts of The Visitor, Jetrel and The Next Phase, threw those good parts into the trash, and combined all the remaining bad parts into one highly derivative episode.
>>71539424
Bullshit, all of the guests so far are independent fan observers, none of them are actually involved with the series.

By far the worst thing ever to happen was Archer attacking a civilian ship and stealing parts from it to leave it stranded in a hellhole
That blew any 'MUH PRIME DIRECTIVE' shit Picard did or any of Insaneway's antics out of the water
>>71539136
Cogenitor:
Archer was right. Trip fucked up.
>>71539497
They mention some details about the different timelines between seasons. That's not a secret! The new series will take place in many timelines and possible the JJ verse.
>>71539512
>I mean, it's funny. I've read that we're [set] before "Next Generation," after ["Star Trek VI: The] Undiscovered Country," which is false.
Bryan Fuller says that you're not sharing the truth.
Remember: The first duty of every /trek/ thread poster is to the truth, whether it's scientific truth or historical truth or personal truth. It is the guiding principle on which /trek/ threads are based. And if you can't find it within yourself to stand up and post the truth (and only the truth) about what happened, then you don't deserve to enjoy our dank memes.
>>71539556
Janeway violated the temporal prime directive multiple times and wiped out countless timezones. She aided a murderous alien race just to spite the Borg. She got a top of the line ship stranded on the Delta quadrant her first day. How the fuck is she admiral?

Oh, you Captain Foley.

Sorry, but I didn't vote for you as trek thread high priest, so no.
Why was Kirk killed in the TNG film?
Had they no foresight?
>>71539918
>I mean, it's funny. I've read that we're [set] before "Next Generation," after ["Star Trek VI: The] Undiscovered Country," which is false.
TNG is Enterprise D. TUC is Enterprise A.
Bryan Fuller says that it's NOT set between the Enterprise A and the Enterprise D.
No Enterprise B. No Enterprise C.

Except that Bryan Fuller says that it won't take place in the period of time after The Undiscovered Country (the Enterprise A era) and before The Next Generation (the Enterprise D era).
So when you tell us that it takes place in the Enterprise B era, you are wrong. And when you tell us that it takes place in the Enterprise C era, you are wrong.
If you had any honor then you would acknowledge your mistake and apologize.
>>71540129

>>71540296
>It's the only Trek I actually own on physical media.
You have my pity.
>>71540222
Why can't this shit take place right after voyager. Those actors aren't disgustingly old where they cant show up again. Come on plus you can start the show post voyager explaining how they handled coming back and civilian life.
>>71540324
Bryan Fuller hates Voyager so I think it's unlikely that he'll do anything with them.
>>71540214
We already had a Star Wars character, anonymunch.
>>71540354
We should have an entire 13 episode series about Daniels' timeline duties, but not the exciting parts.
A whole episode where he helps the Bolian graduate program their holographic timeline interface.
Another episode that involves him being fitted for his black time travel suit and looking over new changes in the temporal-verse.
I think it could work, but only if Braga comes back.
>>71540484
I bet Fuller never even watched Enterprise since he was so pissed off by Berman and Braga.
>>71540354
Doesn't matter. Voyager gets better numbers than DS9 or Enterprise on Netflix and Amazon, with 7 of 9 and The Doctor some of the most popular (well deserved, imo) Trek characters of all time.
Ryan and Zimmerman will be back in guest spots.
>>71539824
Daily reminder that trektards have always been a nasty bunch. Probably has much to do with the fact that they are mostly fat, repulsive, sexually frustrated, shut-in permavirgins with absolutely no lives outside of their ultra-lame, jew-infested fantasy world
>>71540521
Can you post a source for your ratings claim?
I do recall that Voyager got lower Nielsen ratings than DS9.
>>71539556
lol, it's like you forgot the episode where janeway goes off on chakotay then threatens him racially
>"I'm prepared to let my crew die so we don't become thieves and murderers"
>"We only need to be thieves to stay alive because we'll die without food, Kathryn"
>FUCK OFF CHAKOTAY, SMALL POX NANOPROBES WHEN?!
>>71540222
How can I? Bryan Fuller is only saying that the new series won't take place in the X timeline.
That's doesn't mean we can see the Enterprise C from the JJ verse or even further Enterprise J. Anyways the new series is not about the flag ship of the Federation.
Star Trek is always about the Trek and characters that make the ride. If you doubt that will be see an Enterprise at some point in the series then you haven't seen much Star Trek.
>>71540577
>That blue dive shortly after DS9 started
Man, people really did not like "Time's Arrow."
>>71540577
Why does every show after TNG get less and less popular over time? Like I would have expected DS9 to go up each season
>>71540585
Mate, you said that it would be set IN those eras.
You wrote:
>The first season Is set in the Enterprise B era.
You wrote:
>Maybe not Enterprise B but maybe they meant Enterprise C.
Why are you trying to backpedal now?
You made a claim, that claim was false, now own up to it already.
Was it ever acknowledged in-universe just how often Worf was right, or at the very least perceptive that a situation was not as it appeared to everyone else?
It's painful to watch him get sidelined time and time again in TNG for being absolutely appropriate in his caution of situations.
>>71540577
Seeing that chart again tells me the franchise was overall in a slow dive regardless of what was being shown.
DS9 wasn't on a network, it was being syndicated.
Voyager was hamstrung by the network and had bad writers.
Yet both timelines of viewers seem to coalesce in a natural downward slope that only crests in season finales.
The argument that DS9 got better ratings doesn't seem to hold much water if you take into account the continual drop off after TNG ended.
>>71540708
Only if you're observant.

I'm not trying to argue anything.
Someone else is arguing that Voyager gets better ratings, and since they aren't presenting evidence, I simply have reason to doubt their claim.
>>71540668
>expecting anyone in these threads to ever own up in any to the slightest error in reason or facts
>>71540668
Clue word being "era"
Why are you trying so hard? Do you work at CBS or Paramount?
>>71540789
I wasn't arguing for him, either.
I'm just making the obvious point from your graph that both series are in a consistent downslope from the pilot to the very the end (with maybe a slight exception in Voyager's case, probably to do with DS9 being off the air).
Neither series retained TNG's original audience and it might have been for the good of the franchise.
A TNG-esque series would inevitably lose steam and peter out leaving us with less Trek, even if it's questionable Trek like Voyager.
>>71540762
I mean, I've seen all this stuff of him getting walked over. I'm asking if any character is ever like, "Man, that Worf guy might have a point being so suspicious all the time."
>>71540570

Alright nerds, I got a question. Do Starfleet jumpsuits have any sort of anti-phaser protective qualities? And if not, why don't people like security or away teams who are heading into fights wear armor?
>>71541479
Nothing against phasers, but they deflect lasers.
Star Trek: 1
Star Wars: 0
>>71541557
Any reason why security teams don't wear armor then? We know materials can provide cover against phasers.
Also, Star Wars uses plasma weapons IIRC.
>>71541444
You know, since I know now that you are no longer trolling and I know what you like, but did you know that a TON of Gen X academic Jews worshipped TNG? Like that shit was their favorite show amongst 80s/90s Jews in college.
My father fits that mold and he could tell you more about TNG even though I binged on it in college.
And now that I'm a few years post-graduation I find that a lot of white people that remember or are were recently introduced to Star Trek never say anything about Jewish influence or perversion of some original concepts.
You could argue that Gene was ten times more perverse and blatant with liberal ideas than any of the writers thereafter (most weren't even Jewish).
You should lighten up for once. Some of us are actually normal middle-class people.

Bad choice of pics to be honest.
>>71543930

Similar to say Austin Powers at the end of the first one.

But you asked me if it was a remake of a Voyager episode and I answered your question that it wasn't.
And since your memory was foggy, I gave the scene context.
I did talk about the episode and would like to continue doing so.
Kirk: Studly, heroic, man-god
Picard: Pompous limey faggot
Janeway: Stupid lost in space bitch
Sisko: Token black guy stuck on back water shit hole space station.
Archer: Literally sucks millions of cocks

I'm still unsure whether he had sex with T'Pol to cure her pon far.
But his unusually shy behavior in the decon chamber seemed a little out of character for him considering his actions earlier on, like wanting to watch two crewmen "mate", or encouraging Trip to fuck his wife, and then laughing about it when Trip refused.
>>71544196
>"Is the episode X?"
>"No, the scene is Y."

The Enterprise episode "Doctor's Orders" is a remake of the Voyager episode "One".

I completely agree, especially considering that they had established Denobulan society as a very open sexually.
The closest thing I can think of similar to how he acted there was his original apprehension towards Ensign Cutter in season 1 or 2.
And, no, I don't think they fucked. It was implied he came up with some concoction or some shit and put her in the decon chamber. It wasn't resolved well.
>>71544346

For some reason I was immediately reminded of the scene where Q's son removed her clothing. I actually forgot that the picture was from that episode.
You are absolutely correct. T'Pol played the role of the "illusion" that the alien from "One" played.
As I recall, the episodes were almost identical.
Still a good episode though.
>>71544660
The answers never really revealed themselves, did they ?

Yes. Cutler remarked that she knew his race did not like being touched, but then he nearly drools to Trip about a rose pedal bath. So he's a little inconsistent.
But then again, he did end up giving Cutler a booty call. So yeah. What's up with him?

I think that they just weren't careful enough to take note of the character episode to episode to be aware of two disparate aspects of who he was.
In hindsight, it's really not that big of a deal for me because I feel like his upside as comic relief and impartial observer to humanity's space foray folly.
I just think he had a lot of personality that's so easily forgotten when random people try to disparage the show for having bland characters with no real arc or development.
Given the change in writing, the change in executives at UPN, and the last season being pretty much a surefire final one, there wasn't much of a chance to do a unique fully realized conclusion for some of them, Reed or Mayweather especially.
Hell, Voyager had 7 seasons and they botched a few of the characters' "arcs". They pretty much forgot about Harry in the finale.

>It was better than most of what came after it IMO
I liked the Vulcan arc.
anyone got tabs for the enterprise theme song?
>>71545591
High points of S4 of ENT:
-Nazi Temporal Cold War Aliens in New York
-Vulcan/Romulan/Sarek's cotra three parter
-Observer Effect
-Bound for Trip/T'Pol and Orion Slave Sluts
-In a Mirror Darkly
-Terra Prime Two Parter
So yeah, pretty much half and half for me. Observer Effect is definitely one of my favorites.
>>71545715
>-Nazi Temporal Cold War Aliens in New York
>-Bound for Trip/T'Pol and Orion Slave Sluts
I think that you don't know what high points are.
>>71545533
I agree that he was an interesting, and likeable character, and is a part of what made that series a good one.
I am kind of glad he never sold them the idea that he would have, at times, squawked like a bird.
>>71545827
>I am kind of glad he never sold them the idea that he would have, at times, squawked like a bird.
I'm also glad they got rid of this twinging Rick Berman-ism where he smiles while the shit CG guys pull his smile upward and it pixelates the background.
>>71545715
I generally agree with your assessment.
Didn't care much for the green Orion girls. They looked like std farms... and they were total feminists.
I liked everything else you listed, but I also liked the Klingon arc, and the Babel 1 arc.
I even thought the augment story was ok, but the inclusion of Spiner basically ruined it for me. IMO he's always been way overrated, and way overused.
So actually, aside from that, the finale, and the transporter kang being my picks for worst episodes, I really can't say I haven't found at least something entertaining, or interesting about every episode, even the bad ones.
>>71546280
I mainly liked the B-story of "Bound" with T'Pol and Trip being in each other's day dreams and basically just continuing the development of the two.
I just can't seem to get over that Daedalus episode. I think it was because the old man seemed more like some old blues singer as opposed to a transport scientist. Not to mention it was just sort of cheesy with some forced past romance between Archer and the black chick.
I also didn't like the whole Aenar / Romulan arc except for Trip and Reed getting thrown all over that mosquito ship.
As for Brent..
Spiner as Data is fucking out of this world.
Spiner as Lore, fun but somewhat annoying in a bad way.
Spiner as some smug ancenstor of Soongh, fucking embarrassing.
He comes across as one of those guys who doesn't realize he has that much talent or that his jokes are pretty lame.
>>71546575
>I mainly liked the B-story of "Bound" with T'Pol and Trip
Yeah. I like T'Pol and Trip.
>I also didn't like the whole Aenar / Romulan arc except for Trip and Reed getting thrown all over that mosquito ship.
I liked that arc, and I'll tell you why... It was like Degra said in the Xindi story... "We may not know who the real enemy is."
It was a quintessential false flag operation, portrayed in a way that even plebs can watch, and easily understand how they actually work in the real world.
>>71546728
>I liked that arc, and I'll tell you why... It was like Degra said in the Xindi story... "We may not know who the real enemy is."
>It was a quintessential false flag operation, portrayed in a way that even plebs can watch, and easily understand how they actually work in the real world.
Yeah, I guess I specifically really did not like the Aenar. I feel they were created simply to have a pilot who could somehow feel telepathic messages light years away. The beginning with Archer, the Tellarites, Shran, all being manipulated had me.. It was about when they showed that Aenar pilot and then finally this weird race of blind telepaths ..I don't know, just seemed like they were created to fill that role on the subspace holographic ship or whatever.
They had an opportunity, as well, to include the previous storyline with the Vulcan senator who was in collusion with the Romulans as part of it. They basically ended that Vulcan three parter with the idea we might see that guy or his accomplices very soon.
>"Join me, doctor..."
>"En-HANCE my evening."
What was Garak suggesting in that moment?
>It's another Trek thread in which the same 3 people circlejerk over ENT
>>71536486
Oh my...oh my god. Tell me he didn't. Tell that lunatic didn't post it.... AGAIN
Damn. Just wow. What more is there to say? He did it. That absolutely mad son of a bitch did it. Someone cap this because this absolute madman right just posted the "Commander, tell me about your sexual organs" meme for the umpteenth time. Astounding. Truly astounding. Let this be a lesson to you kids. You can do anything. You can BE anything. You can be a mouth breathing NEET who sits in his basement all day doing nothing but post Star Trek memes and goddamnit you can be the best there is.
>>71546936
Was Garak the Varys of DS9?
>>71546936
Well, I should imagine that when he's not hanging around with Bashir, he probably spends his evenings alone reading Cardassian literature and crying over how he'll never be a part of The Never-ending Sacrifice
Does anyone know the Cardassian female with dreadlocks?

Garak just wanted to stick his pointy, scaly cock up Bashir's Bum
>>71547692
He probably prefers it that way.
>>71536610
Every episode except 11 and 22. Skip both of those and it's top-tier Trek.
>>71540918
Sisko more-or-less let him off the leash to go do his Klingon thing but I don't think anyone ever explicitly said "I'm glad you're here Worf, we have some aliens we need you to kill with extreme prejudice"
>>71544660
>>Phlox finds a cure for Pon Farr
>>it's forgotten by later series
Strictly speaking, he didn't. He just treated the disease that was inducing it in T'Pol and consequentially it went away.
>>Phlox finds a cure for Borg assimilation
>>it's forgotten by later series
Yeah, that one is complete and utter bullshit.
>>71546905
If we'd gotten another season then we probably would have. IIRC someone said something about the Romulans being the main bad guys of S5.

Aes Sedai answer, similar to the way he denied it was an anthology. As a seasonal anthology, it's not an anthology show and also doesn't have a regular setting.
You have to read between the li(n)es of Star Trek bigwigs, their first duty isn't to the truth.
>>71552781
BSG had two perfect years.
DS9 ended when Voyager had two years left.
Just imagine a world where BSG never happened, but Voyagers S6 and S7 were pure perfection.

Would I be missing much if I just watched the ep out of the blue or would I need to watch some other stuff first?
>>71559910
The main reason that mirror universe episodes are so much fun is the contrast. Without the context of the rest of the show the mirror universe episodes aren't really all that special.

>I find that a lot of white people that remember or are were recently introduced to Star Trek never say anything about Jewish influence or perversion of some original concepts.
A lot of white people are jew stupid. But of course the jews' ill-gotten stranglehold on education, media, and government probably has nothing to do with that. Right?
>You could argue that Gene was ten times more perverse and blatant with liberal ideas than any of the writers thereafter (most weren't even Jewish).
A lot of white people have been corrupted by perversion and liberal ideas. But of course the fact that if one traces the ultimate source of most any kind of corruption, perversion, or harmful "liberal" ideas, one inevitably finds a jew, well, that's just a coincidence. Right?
>You should lighten up for once. Some of us are actually normal middle-class people.
What's "normal" for a jew, e.g. killing Christ, the black slave trade, bolshevism, communism, WWI, WWII, the Kennedy assassination, the holohoax, the Palestinian genocide, 911, multiculturalism, numerous other acts of terrorism, Al-Qaeda, ISIS, the Samson Option, and generally wrecking every country your people have infested over millennia with your usury, and racist, supremacist, retarded religion, is not necessarily "normal" for anyone else.
>>71563202
This /pol/posting is getting out of control
I appreciate it because it scares away the tourists, but the gap between /tv/ trek threads and /pol/ trek threads seems to be closing
>>71563784
this is what happens when you put /trek/ in the OP. the /pol/ posters almost never find their way into the ad hoc trek threads

>>71563784
/pol/ Star Trek threads aren't normally full of "jew this, nigger that"-type discussion. The /tv/ Trekthread poster who has recently been impersonating /pol/ for unknown purposes is presenting a caricature. /pol/ Star Trek threads are the best Star Trek threads on the site, better than even /tg/'s. A far sight better than /tv/'s have ever been.

/pol/ Star Trek threads are never generals, they're always about a specific topic.
If you guys want serious Star Trek discussion you ought to come to /pol/ and check it out. It's really pretty friendly and nice.

"dank memes" nice one, Reddit.

>>71565199
The Daystrom Institute is shit. Horribly oppressive rules that suck any joy or fun out of Trek. It's over-moderated, cliquish and filled with autistic spazoids who just can't fucking reconcile that some actors might just play multiple characters without some sort of grand unifying theory behind it.
How do you feel about pic related?
Are transport rifles cheating?
>>71547692
He's a spy. Being appreciated in his lifetime would mean he had fucked up colossally.
I'm sure 70 or 80 years later someone will find a half-erased copy of Sisko's log and piece the story together, and Garak will get some kind of posthumous memorial in his honour on Earth.

Honestly I'm just fascinated to see how they try to make Star Trek seem futuristic in 2016 now that we have smartphones and tablets that seem far more futuristic than communicators and tricorders. The only futuristic tech in Star Trek anymore is the stuff that is just straight up magic like transporters and replicators.
