3D was trying to cash in on the whole 3D crazy at the time like that Piranha 3DD thing.
Movie itself had no idea what it wanted to be. It was mostly the plot of SH3 with Heather but they put Pyramid Head in it. All the symbolism the franchise had went out the window.
First one was at least spooky horror. 3D was Saw "horror"
