Movie when?
If at all it will take years, there's only 2 books done so far.
I've just finished WoR and I want to kill myself because I have to wait a year for book 3 :(

I haven't even finished Way of Kings to be honest. School got in the way, but I'm about to start over. I really loved what I read the first time (maybe 1/4 of it). Is Book two as good as one or better?
>>71508132
It's really good. I enjoyed WoK a little bit more though.
tfw you read epic Dalinar/Kaladin chapters then have to suffer a Shallan chapter.

It's anime garbage disguised as high fantasy middle school reading.
>power armored super heroes leaping cliffs with giant swords
>fairy sex/romance objects obsessed with the boring Gary Stu
>over ambitious MUH WORLD BUILDING with Morrowind-borrowed everything
No wonder you guys like it.
>>71508308
Go back to /lit/ and stay there
>>71508352
I actually don't read all that much and I'm no elitist. Never go to /lit/ for the same reasons you hate it.
It just so happens that this particular book/series is really stupid. It's masturbatory cliches with so many elements existing purely to satisfy the inner (outer?) 14 year old boy in its readers.
>>71508409
You just seem excessively bitter about it. Of course the world building is overly ambitious, it's a ten book series. It's fine if you don't like it, it just sounds like Brandon Sanderson raped your sister or something.

:(
desu you're right, I am bitter. I read all of Sanderson's WoT stuff and actually liked it. I was stoked for WoK. I really did not and do not like it. I've tried to read it 5 times and make it about halfway through before I give up.
But to each his own. Still mad tho.
I'm working on it right now I already told you it's cooking up in the works
mistborn would probably be made first, plus it has the young strong female protag that hollywood loves
just how big of a mormon is Brandon Sanderson? Last I heard he's got a writer's workshop at BYU that writers put up with the mormon bullshit for to be in.
>>71508598
I don't know, but it's not a huge deal until his characters start wearing magic underwear. Still weird and mildly off-putting though.
>>71508598
he went overseas for two years spruiking mormonism so yeah I'd say he's a pretty serious one

>I was in SLC two winters ago
>at barnes and noble to pick up some nerd books
>brandon sanderson is doing a book signing
>oh neat.jpg
>wait around for an hour for him to get there
>waitaminute.tiff
>fedoras
>fucking
>everywhere
>dudes in trenchcoats line the aisles
>MLP buttons on the aforementioned fedoras
>so much neckbeard
>wat
>i leave
Never again.

Just how fat and hideous are you, and how thick are your glasses, m'lady?
>>71508409

>"Masturbatory cliches"
I hope that liberal arts degree helped in procuring that elusive McDonalds burger flipping job.
>>71508308
>fairy sex romance
so you didnt even read them then?
>>71508780
>2016.5+
>not being so horny that when you see a qt in a flowing nightie and a sexy bra over it your imagination just does the work for you so you are rock hard without any foreplay

UNITE THEM
>>71508409
