This, as an atheist I've never understood the 'Le bible is a book written by retarded desert people lol' meme. It has such a clear influence in art and stories in general in western culture that being unfamiliar with it in that context seems very ignorant, and unnecessarily obtuse. You can revere something for it's cultural impact without necessarily believing in what it says. That mentality really frustrates me about modern atheism.
