More than half of what made death note good was the god tier soundtrack. Listening to it now, the melancholy tracks never fail affect my mood, it's like my brain remembers what I felt listening to the ost for the first time while watching the anime and makes the connection.
It's like smelling a dish your mom made you as a child and remembering home, even though the food wasn't great, you can't help but being filled with emotion.

Making L black is a little weird, and its weird for that one role being the one where they decide to pull the diversity card. like people on here argue for The Major in Ghost in the Shell being white (and they do give legit reasons supported by the source material) so why the sudden is it not right to be like "L isnt supposed to be like this?"
