Is the Film Board of Canada kino?
it's mostly cbc tier liberal propaganda. The Voyageurs is cool though

Fuck you, CBC news is great. Much more balanced than most channels that get their shekels purely from corporations and only produce infotainment. Their original shows that aren't political are pretty shitty though.

>cbc news great
it's become the mouthpiece of the liberal party

Rogers/Bell shill pls go.
It's funded Normal McLaren and Ishu Patel, so yes
Only the Arthur Lipsett films. The rest of the films are interesting artifacts, but far from kino.
I applaud them for making so many films available for streaming for free on their website. I've been using it to catch up with a lot of Canadian Classics I haven't seen. Recently watched Nobody Waved Good-bye, one of the first feature-length English Canadian fictional films. Fiction film shot like one of their docs, pretty interesting.

Bump for the greatest national film institute in the world. Does any other country have a comparable institution that even comes close to the artistry and breadth of subject matter found in the NFB's productions?
