Something tells me all these liberals here in America bitching about Brexit only just started researching it after the vote was finished or after Jon Oliver's segment on it.

So exactly like the British who voted for it?
>>
>>71438170
Because most people 18-24 are socially liberal and they are pandering to them for ratings?

Also Brexit is impossible for the US since we don't belong to a EU style membership organization.

Worst case scenario for the US is we waste money on a wall that mexicans just dig under anyway.
>>
>>71438347
You know there are people that regretted voting for Obama?

I'm one of them.
>>
>>71438170

>Also why has CC gone full social justice lately?

I don't think they even do it on purpose. People naturally wanna be around other people that think like they do so if you have a leftist at the top he's going to hire more leftists who go on to bring in more leftists while simultaneously pushing out or suppressing any conservative voices. If your boss is a leftist you're not going to casually speak out and contradict him politically so you stay quiet. This all happens very naturally without anyone realizing what they're doing.

A good example of this is what's happening at ESPN. Their programming now has a very leftist bias and you see guys like Curt Schilling and Ray Lewis who are outspoken conservatives being pushed out and replaced by leftist announcers.

You know I'm from Portugal and got really offended not that you care. We've been through a lot of sacrifice to repay our debts. We got fooled into joining the EU which is not a union but a device to enrich the northern markets.

They imposed us quotas on fishing, dairy products, agriculture and so on which was a cornerstone of our economy for many years, the didn't allow us to compete in foreign markets or internal markets.

They stiffled our economy and made us agree with horrible deals like buying german submarines and tanks that we didn't have a need for.

If you're from britan you'll also like to know Portugal and the United Kingdom have the oldest ongoing alliance in the world. Since the middle ages we've helped each other countless times. portugal is also home for many british expats who we deeply cherish.

Portugal is also the country of origin of most of your nurses, software engineers and builders. I don't know much about greece, but portugal was manipulated by the EU into bondage and servitude to enrich the german banks which own most of our banks as well.

a lot of traditional agrarian economies got turbo fucked due to globalization. that said, the eu should have worked to help countries like portugal diversify so they didn't hit economic freefall the second things went south in the agricultural sector. this is the actual problem i have with the eu, in that they don't seem to allocate money into making their member states more stable and prosperous economically. i still think britain leaving isn't going to help things in the long run, seeing as the constant effort by european countries to fuck each other over isn't going to stop just because the eu disappeared.

This is irrelevant to Brexit since it was Americans who said it, but the founding fathers made America a republic and not a democracy for a reason. They were smart enough to understand the common man is generally a fucking idiot. More importantly, the larger a population gets the more it becomes muddled. That's why direct democracy only correctly works in very small populations, otherwise you need representatives to get anything done, because you can't expect the whole population to vote on every issue when it comes up without it being a shitshow.

The downside was that the system was so dependent on the Khan that the entire Mongol war machine shuts down if he dies and EVERYONE has to go back to Mongolia to elect the new one. >Because people in their late 30s to 60s (i.e. the majority of Leave voters) are the kind of people who use google at 1am on a Thursday, while the results are coming in.

Don't be daft. The "what happens if the UK leaves the EU" googling was prompted by young people who had no serious contemplation that the vote might go any way but theirs.
It's obvious when you look at how low the turnout was from young voters, and how cities that were expecting a Remain vote, ended up with a Leave majority because Remain voters didn't turn up in the expected numbers.

It's the EU that controls Britain's borders. They force them to have a revolving door policiy. Now the government is free to impose an Australian style points system on it's borders which has always been the plan of the leave campaign

Bad democratic leaders are better than bad autocratic leaders, but good autocratic leaders are better than good democratic leaders.

Dictatorship itself isn't absolutely evil, it's just another form of government. The point is how you can run it for the benefit of society. In reality, it's dictatorship rather than democracy that drastically advances government reforms. But I think humanity ought to avoid being united by a dictatorship. While it's true one leader might have that talent, what about his descendants? His heir? Rulers aren't necessarily wise through generations. I don't think the entire human race should be ruled by a system where everything depends on one person's character.

The EU has reached levels of cartoonish super villainy that was never thought possible. They are so hell bent on destroying independent nations and identities that they are now panicking because of Brexit and trying to flood in as many Middle-Eastern Muslim migrants as possible. They created a new passport to allow mass Middle-Easterners and Africans to come in quicker and dilute all nations and the faces of their people. Every single one of these "refugees" will also vote in all referendums in favor of the EU to keep this happening until there are so few native Europeans that it is mathematically impossible for the EU to be voted out of power.
All other EU countries need to follow Britain right now before it's too late.
