ive said time and time again, the writers gave up on consistent logistics for the entire show a couple seasons ago, they are too popular for their own good, and its going to make the show suffer in the long run, and repeat viewings after the entire series is over is going to show how awful the writing actually was, with fucking characters pulling armies out of their ass in 1 episode while some characters spent multiple seasons trying to rally people to join their army, then armadas appearing in 1 episode and 1 paltry bullshit feminist scene somehow gets them control of the entire armada, and now they dont even try to explain traveling or time at all, with characters fucking teleporting around incoherently

The problem isn't that he could have made the journey, the problem is that it's in the same timeline as Cercei who has been waiting for a trial for over a year with nothing else going on and Sam who has taken the whole season to travel an equal amount of distance. It really is the pacing that's going to be the biggest lasting flaw of the series. One of the reasons I thought it was so great at first is that it was all going in this slow but well thought out pace. The cards were laid out on the table and we saw how we would slowly move towards this giant clash, which would set it apart from previous giant fantasy/action epics, with characters and the world being built up really thoroughly, pieces put into place in a thought out manner.
But then they started to just go at a different pace whenever it suited them. It's given the show an uneasy feeling ever since.

No, it was poor writing. The "travel" itself is not good enough to indicate that "months have passed", being that most other scene jumps are just, say, hours or a day apart, generally speaking.
For the entire episode to take place in about a day and then for those 2 scenes to all of a sudden make the episode from 1 day to half a year, without ANY kind of indication other than the travel itself, is silly, sloppy, and ridiculous.
