I already see a lot people admitting that Snyder was unfairly shit on, and are blaming WB. There's already a pretty clear consensus building on how much better the film is. Even a few of its most vocal detractors have now come around.

I think if they took out the Knightmare(as cool as it was), the Flash cameo and the JL easter eggs the movie would have been a 10/10, they just halt the movie at 2 unnecessary spots. Maybe take out Wonder Woman too although she was pretty cool. There's seriously some phenomenal stuff in this movie that's bogged down by studio mandates.

The full Africa scene was actually great.
The empty streets of Metropolis. All of Clarks acquaintances at the funeral.
More importantly, the Death of Superman was emotionally engaging, and I really felt the loss, unlike in the theatrical cut.

It went from 5/10 to maybe a 7/10 for me. Pacing and editing issues were solved for the most part. And the desert subplot was explained. I honestly don't know how they took that out and kept the stupid nightmare sequence and Justice e-mail in the theatrical release.
It was a pretty important detail to leave out. And Clark's investigation of Batman branding people added to his motivation.
I didn't like Lex being behind everything. I just don't buy his complicated as fuck plan that requires too much convenience. And still don't like Gal Gadot as WW. Same confused + concerned expression in every scene.
I do think WB fucked up.
The tone is extremely divisive, so the movie was never going to "review" amazing (muh quips), but due to the far superior structure, pace, edit and plotting of the UC, it still would have definitely reviewed far better.
and again, while still divisive, going by current opinions, clearly it would have been much better received.
WB might have potentially lost a good 100 Mil or so due to what they did.

I'm pretty fucking sure that Lex had the ability to abort the Doomsday process if he needed to (ie: Superman killed Batman). The countdown is there for a reason, and Doomsday wasn't activated until the energy rods (or whatever) went right into the cocoon and woke him up. Before the activation, Im assuming he could have told the main computer to abort.
I know I saw some people saying it seemed Lex was going to wake Doomsday no matter what, but I dont think the film implies that at all.

Affleck really deserves an apology because we all made fun of him crying over the critic reviews when HE knew how good his movie was, probably didn't quite have full realization how badly WB fucked it up and in HIS mind it was the at least 8/10 movie we now know it was.

Okay well Batman "thinks" he is dreaming when he goes to sleep but in reality; the Flash accidentally caused Batman to go into the future when he was trying to contact him. So what Batman saw is an actual timeline event of what is going to happen:

>Groups of soldiers will join Superman - basically like a Nazi type of thing
Now when Batman wakes up; this is Flash finally being able to correctly contact Bruce although it is in the wrong timeline "Am I too soon?" He says etc.
Now, I believe that Bruce could be able to stop the apocalyptic Nazi Superman future form happening if he is able to save Lois.
When the Flash says fear him he is referring to that demon thing that Lex awakens at the end of the movie - Darkseid or whatever it is.
We will have to see what Snyder does with Justice League.

Got a little long winded with some transitional scenes.
Some parts really good, then others parts really jarring or just corny; using real life meme tv personalities was a big miss with me.
7.5/10, above Marvel in some aspects but damn that shit took forever. Just felt like a long intro to an easy Justice League movie since everyone's working together. Snyder just also hammered too much on the proverbial pin, it got obnoxious sometimes being spoonfed the importance of some scenes.
