Alright, we got 200 Mil to make a kickass adaptation of Neon Genesis Evangelion. We got Hiddeki Anno writting the screenplay with suppot of the animation team to make the story boards and all.
All that is left is the casting. Here is a small premise to take in consideration.
The world is in a post apocalyptic stage after the 2nd impact. Japans low birthrate population went to such degree to the point where a large a mount of it is now half japanese and half something else; German, Mexican, Australian. - you name it.
Which would also serve as an excuse to put none japanese actors - but they must at least look sort of like they have a root from there.

Evangelion has had a full series, a movie, and three reboot movies. It has told its story.
Why the fuck do you need a live action remake? It told its story with animation. Why can't people who claim to be fans of the series and animation accept that you don't need more? The story was told with animation as the creators wanted. Sure they ran out of budget toward the end and rolled with it, but they told their story.
You don't need live action remakes of everything.
Stop listening to Hollywood assholes who only think in terms of remakes and brand names.
