Ah yes, a middle class, condescending white man (who doesn't even live in the UK) is upset that the poor, racist working class bigots voted for something that wasn't in his favor.

VERY impressive. Keep fear mongering you socialist shill

Open Europe, the biggest think tank in Europe of economy and politics and the European Commission data bank give us the following data: the maximum loss for the UK for the exit from the EU is of 1.5% of GDP, the maximum loss of the city of London, the large financial centre in European business, is 1.1% of GDP.

Europe exports to the UK ten times than what the UK exports in Europe. It will be very difficult for France, Germany, Italy and Spain etc to lose billions of exports by blocking the UK.

With the UK deregulated and outside of the EU has something like 2 billion potential customers in emerging countries.

It affects 0.4% of huge British companies.

Small and Medium British companies lose 760 million Euros each week due to the suffocating, Soviet and authoritarian bureaucracy of Brussels.

The £220 billion exports of goods and services to other EU countries were worth about 12% of the value of the British economy in 2015, and £230 billion or 13% in 2014. It’s stayed at around 13-15% over the past decade.
100% of its economy is blocked by the suffocating laws of Brussels.

London which could lose 1.1%, will be able to export 10% of the British GDP in the whole world.

In 1992 the UK was in a similar system to the EU, called the European Monetary System. They were kicked out. Everybody said: "It's the death of the UK". It was the day the UK, and London left for outer space.

The UK has gotten rid of the nomenclature, authoritarian which has humiliated all the national parliaments of Europe.

They are not scared of economic loss. They are scared of the loss of control over a neo-feudal, authoritarian and anti-democratic project called the European Union.
>>
>>71390570

>>
>>71390737
It was intentional

I believe UK will come out better in the long run by leaving

But certainly in the short term It'll be worse. Seizing assets and genociding/deporting your proffesional class notwithstanding, uncertainty is by far the worst thing for an economy

As someone who voted Brexit, the free movement of people who come from equal countries doesn't really bother me... I think we should now form free movement and trade with Australia, Canada and New Zealand. What bothers me is free movement with developing economies in Eastern Europe.

Also free movement fails falls apart a bit If you don't have a similar policy on letting people from outside the Union into the Union. Germany and the EU officials who said that Europe is open to rapefugees completely fucked themselves over and signed the EU's deathwish with it. The extraordinarily poor handling of the refugee crisis is what kick started serious talks about leaving.

no, there has to be a distinction between voting in elections for a representative government who will then make decisions themselves and voting in referendums which is the people directly making a decision

Referendums in the UK are only "advisory" they're almost always approved by the Commons as it would piss the public off be electoral suicide to go against them.

Thing is the stakes for leaving Europe are so high, and the margin of victory so thin, the delay favours the remain side, so they might risk voting the referendum down to "save the union".
Honestly? Fuck knows what might happen over the next year, the Queen could appoint a Corgi as PM and I wouldn't be too suprised, especially with the state of the Government and opposition at the moment

There's democracy and there's democracy.
A referendum is a harsh kind of democracy because it's the definition of "dictatorship of the majority", the ones that win are listened to and the rest is ignorid.
This referendum has precisely the worst case scenario because it's so close, it's effectively dividing the population in two.
This is the reason why most countries have representational democratic regimes in which the citizens vote for parties that represent them, that way, even if you "lose" the elections you party still get representation according to their number of votes, and your wishes aren't outright ignored.
