Can /tv/ get any worse?
we could be /co/
>>71376220
It's fine the way it is, libcuck.
It's downhill from here when HE
we could start thinking that videogames are art
Of course!
So how about that Game of Thrones?
>>71376220
No, /tv/ belongs to Reddit.
>complete fucking garbage spam stays up for hours
>actress threads deleted on sight
>>71376282
She looks like she's going to unhinge her face and Xenomorph my skull. All the time.
>>71376333
This. The moderation on this board is fucking terrible.
Also, I don't wanna be this guy, but there's definitely been a noticeable drop in quality sincesummer started.
Tune in next week to find out!
>>71376333
>actress threads deleted on sight
this is the one thing I cannot understand, there are earnest discussions of actresses' careers (not >her body of work) yet they still get deleted.
and any and every thread about GoT stays up.
baffling
>50 Game of Plebs entries in the filter but it still takes up half the catalog
>>71376511
Fuck you and fuck this meme.
>>71376511
>this meme again
Go back to /v/

Yeah, sure, just wait until Rogue One and Episode 8 come out.
>>71376220
>no stick for Bud Spencer
no it can't, I'm fucking leaving, I'd rather go to fucking reddit at this point

Nigger, this fucking board was star wars and fucking marvel stupid captain america shit for like 6 months.
the ride never ends just cause you don't like what you see
this board was Disney faggot trash for most of this year..........
>>71376220
I used to think it couldn't but I come on here tonight and no, anon. It can still keep getting worse.
>porn spamming
>GoT everywhere (which I can forgive since it was season finale)
>fucking /pol/ off topic shit everywhere
/tv/ is now like that really shitty gas station you find on a trip cross-country that has the men's bathroom's toilet overflowing and the urinal is stopped up and some mexican guy that barely speaks a word of english will acknowledge you when you try to tell them about it.
>>71377170
>Conveniently leaving out capeshit
I see you, faggot.
>>71377170
None of those things you listed are bad apart from GoT
>>71377170
>The only thing you forgive is the bad thing
way to go faggot
>>71377377
kys
can we all agree that none of us agree which of this shit is good and which is bad?
>>71377620
at least 10% of that is on topic which is better than we're doing now
>>71377620
cuckposting is a vital tv tradition
>>71376266
I thought so too, but something's happened in literally the past 3 days. Maybe I've changed but this board looks fucking shite at the moment.
>>71377760
The cunny posters stopped posting and all the shit started flooding back in.
>>71377760
GoT. And election season.
>>71376220
classic simsons stream at ankshtream.net
>>71377620
Pedo tripfag-era /tv/ was a million times better than what we have now. Every person that complained that one image dump thread was ruining the board should eat shit now
>>71377760
Mods disappeared. Which means something major is about to happen to /tv/
>>71376220
Capeshit threads
100+ /got/ threads a day
No /sopranos/ daily general
No discussing the aesthetics of Tarkovsky daily
This board is JUST
>>71376553
>meme
it's /tv/ culture, ass
>>71376220
Easily, just make it television, film and youtube.
>>71378072
I'm ashamed to admit there was actual film discussion during that era. Waifu posters were saints compared to all the GoT faggots.
Now /tv/ is shitposting grounds
>>71377905
Holy shit, you're right. Where did the cunny spammers go?
>>71377948
>>71378251
Mods actually did their jobs, but it turns out all those pedo trips either contributed to the board outside their fetishes or scared away shitposters. /tv/ lost a good chunk of it's soul once 4chan's tripfag days ended, one way or the other.
Then mods stopped doing their jobs and the floodgates opened for any shitposter to come in
>>71376220
pedoposting and waifus kept reddit and Tumblr at bay. Now this is their chatroom
>>71378268
honestly
i love /tv/ memes
I choose reddit over 4chan for the memes. reddit for actual discussion
>the current state of /tv/
>>71378332
>i choose reddit over 4chan for the memes. reddit for actual discussion
What did he mean by this?
>>71377948
>>71378404
for youyou see, we participate in memes
Whoever made this was right all along
>>71377905
>>71378072
>>71378251
>>71378311
kill yourselfs, the cunny spammers didn't help at all
it's the got season finale, no fucking shit there's a bunch of got stuff
how fucking stupid can you faggots be?
>>71378530
>>71378575
nowhere did I say I watch got.
retard.
>>71376220
Yes. If they remove /got/.
>>71378530
I'm not saying they helped, but when I was here in 2010-12 it was a hell of a lot better than the times since
This board has been bottoming out for a year now. From TFA hype and release, to Avengers, BvS, GoT, 2016 election, and the increasingly accepted cuck porn obsession; every month some big shit makes this board unreadable for days at a time. I used to willingly spend all day here, now I just open the 2-6 dead threads that interest me in the catalog then leave after an hour. It bums me out
>>71377948

Genuinely miss the surreal cinema experience threads.
Leagues better than constant GOT bullshit and whatever other detritus shits up the board these days.
>>71377948
I just logged on, so yes
>>71379221
I miss the /tv/ film club threads
>>71376511
>responds to every post cancer
>image.jpg cancer
>gets doubles
There's no fucking justice.
Easy. You make /tv & youtube/ and leave /Film/ alone.
>GOT shit goes to other board
>Reddit goes to other board
>Shitty 4chan "youtubers" go to other board
>Only capeshit and whining left (wich is old tv).
I could live with that, if we only could summon Hiro
>>71377948
It's the perfect storm (of shit) :
>GoT finale
>Star Wars now having a yearly release at least
>Summer
>election year
>a really bad year for movies in general, with only like five films being worthwhile at all
Unfortunately I don't think whatever little quality /tv/ had left will recover
cunnyposting scared away retards that think that interpol will get you for looking at a picture of a little girl that is readily available on instagram
>>71380000
Nice post you fuck
we could have avoided this game of thrones spam if you guys wouldn't have shit up /film/ on its first fucking day.
>>71376511
Fred is the meme this board needs
>>71380220
it fucking went up during australian power hour
I didn't even see it up because I was asleep
>>71377948
I just want to go back to the way things were 4 years ago. It was nice then. People were funnier, and they could shitpost and have substantial discussion on film and television in equal measure. They knew things. All people on /tv/ seem to know these days is how to parrot variations of a few forced memes, and have entirely narrative oriented discussions of game of thrones and star wars. And there's what, like 3 tripfags left? Fuck's sake. I want a time machine.
>>71381213
>tfw no one is left from that era
hurts
>>71381213
>I want a time machine.
What did he mean by this?
>>71381238
That's not true, but it's nearly true, and that's just as weird. 4 years ago was 2012, that really wasn't that long ago, 4chan had been mainstream as fuck for years by that stage. Anyone who came after then must be underage, no other explanation.
the two best time periods I've had on /tv/ was during lost and season 1 of true detective, especially after this ep, because people came here to discuss actual tv stuff.
>>71381299
It had been mainstream but I think there was still some of that fear/taboo surrounding the site which led to less of the shit that clogs up the site now.
Once people realized what 4chan actually was and you weren't gonna get hacked/doxxed/ect. there was influx of new posters that had no idea how the site worked and contributed nothing.
>>71381409
L O S T will forever be goat, and I didn't even post then, just lurked.
>>71381213
You really miss tripfag circlejerking secret club shit?
>>71381608
>implying that doesn't still exist simply in its worst form
>>71381608
>tripfag circlejerking
the communal component of tripfagging was a pretty appealing aspect of it, yeah
>sekrit klub
I mean, I feel compelled to say I don't miss it, but objectively speaking, if /tv/ had a smaller population of older posters, the board quality would be much higher. The exclusionary mentality was annoying, but we aren't doing much better now. Instead of accusing people of being summerfags or newfags or crossposters, we accuse people of being from reddit or tumblr. Not exactly a step up.
>>71381689
>if /tv/ had a smaller population of older posters, the board quality would be much higher
I worded this badly - if /tv/ had a smaller population, and that smaller population consisted mostly of 5+ years posters aged in their mid to late 20s/30s, the board quality would be higher. Higher than the current crowd of 100s of teenaged posters who literally can't remember pre-Bane /tv/.
