More straight comedy than dark comedy.
The violence in it is nowhere near the level of The Sopranos.
Its more of a comedy than a drama and much of the plot is focused on the romantic involvement between Silvio's character and his love interest who also happens to be a police officer in the town hes living in. So you can imagine some of the storylines with him trying to cover up his behavior while still maintaining his relationship with her.
