One of the best movies of all time. Elite imagery, world-class dialogue, intense plotting on the level of the cinema greats.
>>
it was shit
>>
>SEE MINNIE...SHE HATED DIRTY BEAN-SMELLING DONKEY FUCKING BORDER HOPPING SPICS

what did he mean by that?

It was QT jerking off on celluloid again, but sometimes your are in the mood for one his Jizz milk shakes I suppose.

I don't understand why people here didn't relate more.

two of them wasn't hateful tho
>>
I didn't.

>Too long
>poorly paced
>overwritten dialogue
>third act had no tension
>wasted Kurt Russell

Walton Goggins was great as usual though
>>
>>71292894
OB and Michael Madsen weren't hateful

How many of you anons are gay?
>>
It was a fun watch. I enjoyed it. I wish more movies had an intermission honestly.
>>
Yes, I liked it, I liked it.
HOWEVER
>>
It's fantastic. I'd love to watch a stage production
>>
One of those films where you can tell the cast had tons of fun doing it, especially Walton and Jennifer looked like they were having ton fun

This is a rare thing in films and imo adds a lot to the film.

I really enjoyed it, but I was kind of bothered by how the entire plot didn't really need to happen. All the gang had to do was shoot John Ruth, OB, Warren, and Mannix as soon as they arrived at the cabin.
>>
>>71293643

That's what bothered me too, and that narration in the middle about the coffee. Ruined what could have been a good shock
>>
>>71293861
i forget what happened. what coffee naration
>>
>>71293934

The one where tarrantino explained someone poisoned the coffee when Sam Jackson was telling the story to the confederate general, it was right after Sam took care of that old dude in the rocking chair or whatever

i liked it.

Hateful Eight after they enter the cabin area plays like a play for me, so the coffee poison twist wasn't for the viewer, but for the characters to say.

I can see why people would dislike it though.
>>
His best since Jackie Brown, no doubt.
>>
>>71294345
rare sight to see someone like Jackie Brown (anywhere in the internet really)

what do you like about it?

I've read it is based on based Elmore Leonard's short story (I loved Justified) and am tempted to see it, but not before I rewatch his earlier films (QTs that is)

Jackie Brown is honestly not that great. It's good but I think people say they love it to not fall into that crowd of QT fans which likes Pulp Fiction.
>>
>>71294598
Pulp Fiction is his best th0

I really want to rewatch Death Proof, I have inkling I will love it a lot after thinking about it years after seeing it.

The fact some of its scenes are so vividly in my memory speaks volumes, I saw it in theater at release.
>>
dragged on way too long

QT would be that guy who never knows when he's had enough to drink. Always wants one more. Never knows when to end his fucking movies.

BLACK DINGUS
>>
>>71294400
Soundtrack, performances, pacing, dialogue and more. It gets everything right.

>>71294598
Not at all. I love Pulp Fiction too. It definitely has the "contrarion" following, but I really do think it's just as good. PF was much louder, more brash and unlike anything the mainstream had had in a long time.

Jackie Brown was much more mature in every respect but lacked the punch that PF had to make it a huge success.

I am not such a big fan of KB, IB and DU though.
>>
>>71294771
Like how it gets those things right

and I'd consider the fact how well the narrative(s) of PF are performed to showcase great maturity in filmcrafting.

who was the best character in the movie and why was it Chris fucking Mannix?
>>
>>71294930
Because of based Goggins.
>>
>>71292579
I enjoyed it and don't think too much about it. When it comes to Netflix, I'll watch it again.

It was clearly a reading that they forced into a movie, but the acting and gore were satisfying. Leigh deserved her nomination. Channing Tatum was the worst part.
>>
GOOD:
- Modern production of a classic "whodunnit" murder-mystery book/play
- Gritty period piece
- Heavily character-based and indulges in this

BAD:
- More white-black-racism revenge-porn

Then again, I guess if it didn't feature blatant revenge-porn pandering, it just wouldn't be Tarantino.
>>
>>71292637
nice bait
>>
>>71292985
>>71293012
no act had any tension because you cannot possible care or get involved by poorly written monodimensional characters.
>>
>>71292579
I thought the first half was way too slow/uneventful. It paid off but barely.
I'd still say I liked it but I wish the beginning had been shorter or more interesting.
>>
>>71294746
I did not feel the drag I felt with Django, I was hanging on every word and every shot.

WARM
>>
>>71292579

The only thing I didnt like about the movie was that the end felt a little anticlimactic and that the script of this film started this whole bullshit cu ck meme.
