I'm working with another anon to develop a city-porn action movie.

Sent him some of my old scripts to peruse, still waiting for a response.

Sounds promising, I too am working as an editor right now for a friend. He wants to make a modern slasher, but he tends to be more dialogue driven and forgets about plot.

Are you doing anything aside from waiting?

O-ohhh...

Its true, films that have scripts dont have any respect for the medium.

Nah, thats a pretty elitist and not even true like you state with your objective godlense. Hitchcock, while not the best filmmaker, respected the medium fiercely and he used scripts. Avante films don't use scripts but, they're not what most would call top tier. But this this a thread about scripts that is likely to die, but id rather it not be about this bs you're spouting and more about people's writing; please take your nonsense and leave

Not really, but I've been playing Hotline Miami and looking at fan shorts, and I've decided that none of them get the feel I'd like to see in a Hotline Miami film. Considering remedying that by just making my own.

Fucking sue me, it's fun.

If you want to write, you write. It's extremely rare when people just write and are good from the get-go. Try it out, just write a scene, write a conversation. You'd be surprised. It's like drawing, the more you practice, the better you get

I love that game, it's a more psychologically involved and 10x more violent version of Drive. If you have the inspiration to make such a thing, I'd say go for it. The only way it can be completely ruined is in production and post.

I started writing when I was 12. I was playing the first CoD and hated how one of the levels went down, so I rewrote my own version of it. Now I have an animation studio and plan on putting stories up on YouTube, got 3 in production right now and 2 in post. About 20 or so in pre. Do what you feel you can.
