ITT: Movies that are objectively the best of the franchise.
Crazy that there are people out there who actually believe that. I'm not even angry, it just really puts things in perspective.

Opposite thread? Opposite thread.
Lord of the Rings was horrible, but man, did Peter Jackson redeem himself with the Hobbit movies, CGI was phenomenal too.

I'd say ESB or ROTJ are the best of the franchise. ROTJ just for the ending fight with Vader and Luke with Luke tapping into the dark side to defeat Vader and then rejecting the dark side after seeing how close he is to becoming Vader's replacement. And then Vader redeems himself by sacrificing himself for Luke. It's just an amazing sequence of scenes.
The sequel trilogy MAY get to that point, but honestly I'm not sure. TFA was a really, really safe film that I feel kind of limited the way this new trilogy can play out.

Certainly better than Star Wars (1977) as it should be since it's a soft remake. People cum in their pants about Empire, but really it's just strangely paced and ends on a down note; nothing really mind blowing.

Fair enough. I haven't watched Casino Royale in a while. I might have to rewatch it.
